IF anything, CG is the only reason why I play this game. I miss the old system though. You could play against same levels so there was nothing like an unfair battle. I personally hate the idea that playing with friends gets you harder and more impossible games now.

I believe everyone would agree that teaming up with friends is always more fun and preferable, especially in a game where random matchmaking means teaming up with players who won't understand what you're trying to say. IMO, penalizing preset teams was a terrible decision which makes no sense and although I don't want to be whining about this relatively old change, this change upsets me more than being forced to play other PvE guilds for the important stats, when in fact i am always reluctant to do them.

I believe the new CG sistem was introduced because the game isnt balanced at all depending on hero lvls. The new CG sistem introduces more randomness which negates the inbalance of the game. Yes sometimes you can straight up loose and sometimes you can have a fair chance, but that depends on a bigger ammount of (lets call them) "random" factors now.

Atleast this is how I explain that to myself. Else admins would have ADDED the mixed option in CG, whille not REMOVING the old system.

I would also enjoy seeing admins "tweek" the existing factions more, not only the factions, but also the troops stats, talents. Change the metagame more often! Most of the balancing was done by increasing the troops count of factions, but lets be real here, this game is much more complex than that...

IMO, it was done so that you could CG anytime, at any level. The new system is more imbalanced than the old one; see how a level 10 might is insignificant when paired with high levels while the other team gets instead a magic player, or even just a faction with casters. Old system had bias too, in that some teams were stronger but it was much less imbalanced than having a level 10 buffing a level 17 with rapid, chast and bless... You can't even predict what would be the best build, because one time you wil be highest level and another time, you will be paired with players 4 level higher.

That being said, the game will probably never be balanced as long as it tries to balance both duels and group battles, because for exemple holy/dark will always be weaker in duels and stronger in groups... Unless it actually tweaks spells instead of just tweaking creature count.

Definately, I would probably have leaved the game a dozen times already if it was just about slaying the same generic AI armies 50+ times in each event. I think I only really played seriously like 4 or 5 events so far...

Yeah, you could be right, the old CG was lvl 9+ right?

I was looking at it from another aspect actually. My point was that 2 players of the same lvl are never equally strong, because there is the FSP factor and GUILD LVLs factor. Some players would "abuse" it and play just fsp favorable battles to become stronger.

That is allright IMO, its just that it makes the game less enjoyable for all rounded players.

After 2 years of cacthing up I finnaly caught up in strenght to .ru lvl 17 players, and then I reached lvl 18 :D
ah missed portal of time when those sphynx immortals were cheap :(

Good example with sphynx immortals, when is something popular and u like to playing it, admins take it and make game more uncomfortable, harder. They think it will help to balance, but it only has the effect of discusting of playing.
Game should have medium difficulty not insane as i see in every event.
Or like when some new event start, its easy from begin, but when admins see its easy for people to kill it, they make it harder.

One fact: Nobody want to lose, winning makes you happy and funny, but when u lose every second fight its discusting.
I agree with difficulty of events they are getting even harder
The problem is, if everyone can win easily, then winning is not that rewarding, and this game will soon be boring

You must have never played those games where loosing would make you start from the begining of the game (well, you had one or two lives because developers were merciful :p).

I had more in mind old games. Sometimes you had passwords that would take you to a certain point in the game and sometimes you had nothing; just going back from start.

Never played rogue likes, but as far as I understand you die but can keep part of what you acquired or something.
greta now even pumpkin is harder, i played 49 fights and i cant beat lvl 8 player....

The number of battles you played is not going to make your character stronger
you have teach it abilities which you think is important and improve its stats and find the appropriate player to battle
make your pumpkin* stronger
hmm but no one force you to do it, it was your choice to do or not to do.
i must say that is the best thing they did,i done over 1k battle till last year from its beginning. but not so much(10-15%) for this year due to busy real life problem.


The game changed, went from MC wars to this constant activity race 24/7.
So this feature replaced another feature I was looking forward too.

Also I did what I did to help my clan and the people I care for. I know people in your clan also do deference because they want to help out and not because they feel they are fun, some even hate them. So even if you are not forced you do things you dont like to help people day in and day out. That contributes to ruin the game for some who dont like the constant activity race

The current status quo reflects player activity / interest dying. Otherwise, clans would keep fighting each other, instead of being happy (!) with the facilities they have.

Perhaps players aren't really interested in fighting over facilities because they already have to do it like 2 to 3 times a day per facility own by default?
those that say game needs a revamp: yes, checkers & chess do to. Oh, wait, those are around since 3k+ years ago ;p


Chess, too, underwent transformations in that span of time. En Passant, for example, is a relatively recent innovation. There was also a time when the pawn could only move a single square at a time. Who knows what other changes it has undergone, and what changes yet remain?

FOR OP

When I am bored, I try to do other things, such as read books. I have read 3 this week alone, amounting to around 1000 pages. Well worth my time, although you might only read a good book once, compared to this game (and others), which can be played over and over again. Take a break, I say. It will be here when you return.
