Every time I upgrade anything on my tower, The next battle has twice as many shooters with triple luck and double morale. I don't even get a chance to use it....what's the point?

Are you going as a defensive faction by chance?
If you play high defense then AI goes for the peasants, if not it goes for your troops. I noticed too how every time I upgraded my tower AI's troops doubled each time and I only have one tower. Forest hobbits went from 100 to like 200 and now 400. Same with all the rest of AI's archers and troops. While my population is a bit over 2k and now even under it. Had my population been 3-4k then I would understand the doubling of AI troops, I have only played 17 matches and it's allready become practicly unplayable due to this.
Imagine how easy it would remain if you don't buy a tower at all. So the lesson here is don't upgrade towers unless you are a low level of 5-6, then upgrade/buy them all and just sit and let the towers finish them all.
Dumbest non logical event I have seen. Lots of wodka must have been involved creating this one, now I know why I somehow had never played this event variant, my instincts must have seen it coming from a mile away.

by going defensive i can actually win battle despite losing huts and pops

but going offensive,,,good luck 20 invoker 140 berserker 120 bear and bunch of crazy crapshoot shooters
150+ wild griffins, dives and one shot tower and all nearby farmers :)

Invokers use rune and does same..
No wonder why low levels were on top last time
I switched from charmerelf to darkelf, the shrews can't even reach anything since the map is just 1 line too much so nothing with speed 8 can reach anything, but AI's dwarf use runes and come onehitting your shrews and lizards etc. This game has become more and more unlikable than enjoyable, can't even remember the last time I actually enjoyed an event. The events have become practicly all sour.
enermy ranger prefer to attacking tower rather than troops, maybe max the endurance of town and make it as a strong target,that would be better..

melee enermy will attack farmers and building if they can reach, any better way to pretect farmers and your building? if you block for a tower they will try to attack the rest,and we cant block every building..
it seems hard to ignore their killing and destroy,how i wish i would raise the poor farmers from tomb before the end of battle...

compared with going for ranking, why not just treat it as a mg quest :)
Is difficulty based only on population size? I also experienced a huge difference immediately after upgrading to no range penalty, but perhaps it was just a coincidence.

MG quests don't cost that much. I do them in min AP.

I was comparing this thread against the thread for the last event. It's clear that people find the Dungeon event a lot more enjoyable. I think the reason is that we had much control in the difficulty of the battles. If you love taking risks, you can just search for "stronger, stronger, stronger" army (like a certain person I know). Or, if you're like me and don't care much about the ranking, you can choose a weaker army and still feel that you're making progress.

I think people are always going to like that type of event more.
It would be nice if you had more options with the towers or if the defence stats adjusted as well. Even with ridiculous buffing they still just die very quickly

Since the AI's troops keep increasing while my population keeps going down, it is crystal clear that population has nothing to do with difficulty, the admins made a bogus event. Once you have upgraded your tower the increase starts and while your population keeps diminishing the difficulty keeps increasing, way to go admins, keep up this excellent work and make more events this way so we can hang up our boots and not even look back.

Do... Do admins even listen to feedback? Time and time people explained the flaws of this cursed event yet they do nothing about it...
I'm actually enjoying the event a lot, but I am doing fairly well.

Units such as Battlemagi, Dreadbanes, and Lorekeepers will kill villagers or structures "by accident," since their attacks can hit bystanders. To avoid this, I'll place my troops where they are less likely to accidentally kill villagers while going for my bowmen.

Admins should check data to see if higher level players are really facing unfair difficulty, then make their decision. It should be possible to play through Invokers and other units since there were level 16-22s who did well last event.

Fairly obvious that lower levels have some kind of advantage though, which will probably stay because veterans on low level accounts are messing up the balance (actual noobs will get destroyed if the event is balanced to smurf players).

Isnt this the most unfair thing ever? Every faction has a counter. Which means this event is RNG and impossible to go through without losses, at least I dont see how. Play tribal, lose to necros. Play dark elf, lose to meaty rangeds. Play elf, lose to defenses and darkness magic. Theres no build that cant lose. Which is unfair for a competetive event.
