Note that Horse will allow you to reach a location 3 areas away in the 3 minute time given to you. Anything more than that would require the diamond mounts.

TGI is 80 diamonds. It's 40 weeks. Still quite good compared to a TGI.
But remember TGI can be gotten back at TG5, meaning you can get, potentially, your 1 million gold back. There's no such option for RG to get gold back.
Thus, long-term RG costs more.. TG is a long-term investment with no loss if brought to full-term (TG 5). |

Ok, unless I understand RG wrongly, you have to get the quest to stop the ambush from the Capital (Not counting the regular ambushes you get caught in by walking around the map normally). The closest Portal is at Eagle's Nest, which will take 108 seconds by horse, leaving only about 70 seconds to get to the location after the teleport. So unless the location is on the end point of the Portal, it's still touch and go, and costs 1 toadstool more. |

2 extra levels for thief, lots of arts, tgi back. After ru RG battles i've seen, AI thief is full arted, i don't see why anyone consider RG a better alternative than TG.
PS: I always thought that an alternative guild will have fights similar to those existing brigands. |

most thief artifacts are worth ~25k, while the new rangers artifacts will most likely be more expensive since they are much harder to get.
and thieves guild changes, we dont know yet.

so if a thief wants to train RG, then a tournament comes, he wants max ini boost, after tournament switches back to RG ......
that will be... really really expensive :S |

Rich people with high TG level may play it just for fun. It seems to me more fun than TG since I hate the huge TG map so much.

but remember how many TGIs are on ru and how is it there... If supply is low there is better chance the price will be still above 1 million. And I would bet admins will change TG to be better than is now because if they left it as it is now, probably nobody would pay 80 diamonds for TGI (even now it is very rare but e.g. I did it so and I know few other thieves who did it too this... hm... year?). I think they will do something to get prices back near to the diamond->gold cost (1,2 million actually).
And even if I was new now and know that there will be that new guild, I would still rather buy TGI as I consider it more profitable from long term (even when I play with min arts, when I win against some caravan I get around 200 gold, the min set costs me 100 gold so it is 100 gold profit. And usually I have to lose once or sometimes twice against the same caravan after winning to win again so these fights don't cost me a lot - and I am only TG 3 and each new lvl means more gold for winning, doesn't it? But of course, when I switch to new faction, I usually have to lose more to win...). |

the min set costs me 100 gold so it is 100 gold profit
that is if you do not take the losses in the calculation.
e.g. for me my min min ap set costs 124 gold / battle and I win 1 out of 3 ambushes (886/2520). Meaning i need to get 372 gold for every ambush I win. But in order to get so much you need TG7 or TG8.
So I wouldnt call it "profitable"

If a thief beats a caravan he will get ~10 000 exp and fsp is capped at 1.
And if he catches a player and wins fsp will always be under 1.
So if I was a new player without a TGI i would go for rangers guild without a doubt unless the changes to TG that yet have to come are a good improvement |

I meant more profitable than RG (I suppose, but I don't know how much gold u can get in higher RG levels...),
And yes - in higher levels the exp/fsp ratio in TG isn't very good but at my lvl definitely is (I would say there are better ways in getting good fsp/exp ration, e.g. playing 1vs3 battles in low levels but this isn't bad too - fsp/exp=1/3000 for me now... And I can still save my easy hunts and MG quests for higher lvls so then I can get lot of fsp too. TG is very good option for those who want to train more factions, if RG is also so good to do it, TG changes should be rally good).
But the true is the most of players will join only RG instead of TG if they can't afford it... However TGI price doesn't have to change so dramaticaly on this server. Just wait too see how will be the TG change :) |
