thx for the answers
i wish to start TG soon.

with the remaining 56k xp till lv 8, i believe i can do about 50 ambushes and make it to TG 1, then i need to do the 70 remaining ambushes in lv 8.

my question is, will the ambushes get nearly impossible after i reach lv 8?

if that's the case will it be better to start TG after i level up...

post your suggestions and your experiences.

No. And I can say that at lvl 8 TG is easier IF you will use combat necro build with vitality talent. Maximum attack and maximum zombies/skelbows and only 2-4 knowledge.

You can try other builds but from my experience combat necro is best for this.

Maybe I'm not playing well enough.
but as a necro at lv 7, I have no prob vs caravans or players
(I can do more than 15 a day)
but after TG1 I was lv 8 and sometimes I can fail 3-4 in success
which mean lv 8 is reali more difficult.
I suggest U start TG now:)

Btw, alot of players say TG is better at lv 6-7 in previous threads...

stevelawler - i see your situation was similar to mine... i'll go through your combat logs to get a better idea...

But be aware :) Combat necro tactic differs from reviver tactic. Zombies are what brings you the victory. While AI tries to eliminate vampires and skelbows, zombies slowly clear the battlefield from the enemies :)

I have get TG2 at lv7 in 6 days. so , you can do it.

to my experience, the thief is not an easy task , the doubt of ring is too expensive^^

necros are a complicated faction n the user needs 2 have excelent comand of tactics then almost noone can harm u

May be try to add LUCK .. necros should be full OF LUCK .. that is the Secret Weapon of Necros ..
ok that would take a while plus tons of money maybe something along the lines of tactics besides do not charge i get that 2 much something fresh something new that is actually useful
Don't knwo where your problem is, you have a good faction skill and you do work enough, so you should have the money to wear full arts. Necro always needs full arts to play at its best. Maybe you should take a look at some combat logs from any of the higher necs.

I know you dont want to hear hit, but most important is stay back. In lvl 7 i found it very useful to play with 3x50 stacks of bows, so maybe in lvl 6 u could try using 2x50. Dont use zombies to wall in your bows use single ghosts insteador even better dont wall them in just hold some small ghost stack ready to block any attackers.

oh and btw in lvl 6 I had a good time with mass delay in group battles. With 1 or 2 point to sp and the rest to knowledge + 2sp from artifacts your casts will last 3-4 rounds. Most people I see take basic nature/ erudition + spirit link, but I think that spirit link kind of "sucks" - lol.

Delay is better anyway. Curse is useful only in specific situations and in most cases you don't need mass curse.
Delay lowers damaging potential of the enemy, lowers his maneuverability.
guys i am not lvl 7 yet u are thinking lvl 7 ;)
2 darkness talents are possible in lvl 6
i want to ask why all necromancers think that skeletons are useless at lv 5 and higher

They are not exactly useless, skeleton bows are just that much better.
This topic is long since last update and considered obsolete for further discussions.
