AuthorLucks vs Morale
Why do most players choose Luck over Morale - which one has the advantage?
Both seems to have an equal (roughly 10%) chance per point to trigger. Both seem to suffer a similar chance of waste. e.g for Morale when your unit gets killed after morale bonus and for luck when you would have killed the creature even without luck.
If any I would thought Morale better then Luck because of retaliation - expect if you use range units.

What do you think?
morale and luck both are equally good but for ko attacks luck is good especially for those who have less troops(elves and de)
Why do most players choose Luck over Morale. Simple, because luck gives your troops deal a massive damage to the opponents or maybe is because of the signet ring that is more expensive than amulet of luck.

Both seem to suffer a similar chance of waste. e.g for Morale when your unit gets killed after morale bonus and for luck when you would have killed the creature even without luck. You can't actually say that. Some troops can be faster than your creature.
With Luck, you can do damage that can kill off a stack outright, rather than with morale that will (eventually) do roughtly the same amount of damage (since you get to go again), but you will take the retal

Morale is only good for redeployment, but it's easier to come by. There's a chance for you to kill 2 stacks, but people usually want to attack heavy stacks then 2 small ones, hoping for a morale boost.
Well, mathematically speaking, morale is almost equal to luck, but not quite. The big difference is that luck can also trigger during retaliation. That's why luck is more expensive than morale.
I've been wondering about Luck vs. Morale too. Luck seems to give troops a chance to do more damage; but what exactly does Morale do? Does it give your stack of troops an extra attack?
for Zephyranna:

Mathematicly luck isn't the same as morale, it's better; Luck gives you in terms of damage 2 turns, while morale only gives you have a turn more.
yeah... but a winning a battle isn't only decided by the amount of damage you deal - it's also about geting your troops in strategicaly superiour positions, taking retaliation with wastable ones or having the chance to strike before the enemie does... so morale (in certain situations) can be a game winner...
I think a Knight without at least 3 morale...is wasting his time ^^
I consider morale better than luck, because it gives you a greater tactical variety, for example destroying enemy blockers and attack what they shielded without giving the opponent a chance to react, in addition with more attacks you can dose the damage and kill several stacks, with luck you might just overkill one stack.
For Elves you also have that morale and critical stack multiplicatively, but luck and critical just add up.
well luck IS the only thing a necro has...

and for other races, morale is better than luck(only slightly) IF the creature has a "no retaliation" ability, like shrews and sprites, for other creatures a luck trigger would save them a devastating retaliatory strike.
I think the morale and luck should be balanced .. + 4 morale and +2 luck is good I think .. What do u think ??

I tried to see what is gonna happen with +4 luck .. I hope to get more that 9 lucks at that battle, but less than 7 .. then Luck is not everything .. Morale and luck should be balanced .. more turns we get, more luck we get .. :)
