you won't see any updates even there will be level 14 players
Ermm.. u are our 'top' player, so I take ot that u know what u are talking about.
So according to you, there WON'T be any updates... EVER? Is this an opinion or a fact? You know something that the majority of us don't? You better come clean now. :p
Or am I missing something here .. again? haha.. :D |
| He means that updates don't have anything to do with top players level. In .ru max level is 14 yet the no1 player has enough experience to instantly level to 16 or maybe even 17 once new levels are introduced. And many others that are currently there level 14 will be 15 instantly as soon as the level becomes available. |
Im happy we have people with differing opinions...
On one side,
we have those who faithfully (and/or blindly) believe in the fairness and good-will of the developers. Those insisting in the virtue of patience and understanding: 'Be patient and it will come'.
However I ask them: How long is long? How patient do you have to be before having your rightful share?
On the otherside,
We have those who desire (or/and lust) and QUESTION the content of the Russian server. People call them impatient or nagging / complaining. I call this, INQUIRING... the why of things... I question and want to find out if there are any discrepancies...
But then I ask myself: So what can i do if I there is unfair treatment?
For THOSE who still dont get it, here is a story:
Let's say: person A is giving apples freely. He gives person B one apple and then after a week after he gives person C one apple.
Comment 1: What a good person... giving apples freely. Better 1 than none. Also, Person C can not complain for waiting, he is getting an apple for free.
Comment 2: Why the heck did person C have to wait for 1 week to get his free apple?
Comment 3: Personally, I will ask: Why did person C receive his free apple a week after person B. Did person A show favouritism? Was person B in greater need of the apple? Was person C indispose when person A was giving away apples? Could something have been done so that person B and C get their apple freely together in the future?
SO my question still remains: DO you think and FEEL that www.lordswm.com is being treated like a second class citizen???
IS you answer like:
Hell give me th UPDATE!!! like NOW!!! I demand it (like comment 2).
OR... This is a FREE game, I enjoy it a lot and FREELY, I dont complain. What ever comes I will take it open-handedly. (like comment 1)
OR... there seems to be a BIG gap between those 2 servers... maybe they are experiencing technical, social, cultural, language, etc problem and this is preventing the developers from giving us a FREE update? So what can be done? (like comment 3) |

Donate. You don't have any right to expect anything from the admins if you don't give them even a single cent for playing their game.

It doesn't matter if you were given a free apple before or after someone. It's free, you should be thankful. |

All right, this is getting too serious, let's lighten the mood a little, and at the same time, prepare the groundwork for a better .com. So, to Kiaune's comments, I suggest...
Half the admins/mods here learn Russian, and the other half learn programming and translating. The world (or here at least) would be a better better place then. :DDD |

You're missing the point here. .com and .ru have the same administrators and developers. The problem is that the game was originally born in Russia and the admins' native language is Russian. therefore, it is much easier for them to develop, test, and debug new features in Russian, and release them there (.ru). If the russian players like it, then they can try to translate it to English, which isnt the easiest of translations seeing as they are two very different languages with two completely different alphabets.
Thus, it is perfectly logical for them to have more new stuff over there (not to mention that .ru is much older and larger than .com).
In closing, I say "Patience is a virtue, my friends." Dont complain. We just had an event that ended last week.
I would rather wait a long time for something that is bug-free, well thought out and enjoyable than get a bug-filled quickie that leaves you with a bad taste in your mouth. |
This is rather Out of Topics..
Rather than expecting updates, I prefer that Admins handle 2 biggest problem in lordswm: AFKer and Cheaters.
1. AFKer
I believe that AFKer makes many players frustrate and quit playing this game.
Giving heavy punishment to AFKer even only reduce number of players.
So, I think the best solution is giving control of AFKers' troop to computer and ban the AFKer for several days from playing group battles.
2. Cheater
Many of cheater cheat because they don't know that what they did is forbidden and most of them do it for purpose.
I think the solution is to create a group of sweeper who have the right to find cheaters and punish them. |
not to mention that .ru is much older and larger than .com
This explanation cannot work forever. A year ago: Was Russian server stuck with 500-1300 players? Were there absolutely no events in 6 months except one "repeated" survival tournament? Are on the russian server 30 pages of 500 players breaking the rules without punishment? This server looks a bit abandoned to me, due to lack of people able to do some maintance.

| I tried playing on the ru server, I know only a little Russian but what really bugged me was the facility code thing being in Flash. That is one feature I hope stays over there only. |

I the compatriot of the administrator also speak in its language, I play on.ru, I play on.com.
What for you cry that at you that that less than at us, where your advantage?
Make to itself free game and play it, cannot? These are your problems.
You should be grateful for that that at you is.

Gyver, i get sick of people complaining about COM/RU release dates, as its irrational. FOX (US) releases their home-produced TV shows about 1 year earlier than in Europe. Its NORMAL, just like that.
And as Shebali said hell-lot-of times: Admins are People too, not machines. So please give admins air to breath. They cant work on both servers same time.
It often takes weeks to develope new features in a living environment, as testing becomes more and more intensive.
And thats why RU ist GOOD for us COMs: Develeopment Releases (Arts, Balancing, ...) has been tested bullet proof on RU, before its being released on COM, resulting in less errors and im-balancing on COM-Side.

Dont complain on just "normal" workflow things. Go to FOX (US) and write them "Please release TV series like 24 same time in Europe please, not 1 year after. Thanks.". If you have succeeded on that, come back here and tell us your magic :-) |
