Why does the developers (parents) treating their children (.com and .ru) SO OBVIOUSLY different???
Maybe the Russian server is a "test" server? If they're going to patch some updates here, I'd want it to be perfect and well tested over there first. You weren't around the first time there was a major game update. People actually quit because of the changes...
btw, the main reason of complaining, as Gyver points above, is not lack of updates, but lack of COMUNICATION.
Maybe they're too busy dealing with the cheaters? If you haven't been checking around, you probably missed the most recent batch of blocking going on. That's a sign that the admins are still there for us. If I have to choose between a chatty admin who does nothing and a silent admin who does something, I'd choose the latter. |
ofc i noticed lexa acts on cheaters, and is pretty obviuos i aprecciate it, but he has been here... a week or so??
dont misunderstand me, is good that cheaters got fined, and if there was a measure it has to been taken first, it was that, so my gratz to admins for this. Anyway, u r evading my point all the way, a simple tiny little message could solve lots of things and avoid tons of complainin, and IMHO, its logical it doesnt cost that much. |

Did it ever occur to you that most of the complaints aren't really worth responding to? I can understand people complaining of cheating, it's a perfectly valid concern, but people complaining because the admins don't say hello to them is just silly. Let's not also forget that the admins may not have sufficient grasp of English to be able to hold conversation with it. XD |

Gyver #99. This helps my analogy better. If two brothers receive a bike but one is better. the one brother wonders WHY.
Well, this is because one of the brothers is older, has been riding a bike a lot longer and the parents know it is worth it to put in the effort to get him a good bike, while the younger brother is still very new to riding bikes and the parents feel it wouldnt be a good idea to invest a lot of money into getting him the best bike they can seeing how they dont even know how he will handle it or if he will be able to even use it do to his size and inexperience.
basically, im not telling you to "stop whining" im actually telling you "why". ive been trying to explain the fact that we are not nearly as big as the .ru server and therefor dont need as much attention. |

who r talking about admins say hello or answering complaints?? isn't that one of the jobs of mods?? Since Arctic left, comunication in-game with developers fall a lot, that is a fact. There have been minor adjustements like insertion of forums pictures, or creating the new forums for reporting cheaters, or the back of lexa himself. Is too much effort some tiny letter from developers (who made this little changes, correct me if i am wrong), just sayin somethin like "Hi comunitty, we have been doin some minor adjustements here and here... we r lookin forward to... bla bla"??, doesnt need a big knowledge of english to do that.
Also, sometimes u need to contact them, maybe u think u can help them by any way (translating pieces of about the game or other stuff... i have seen ppl asking on forums they could do somethin like that...) or in tourney aprovals (they should remove the rule "tournaments with prize award have to be aproved" by "tournaments r forbidden" since there's no way to get the aproval). just 2 examples.

Anyway, no sense imho, theres a infinite negative feedback here: low number players ----> low number updates ------> players get bored so they leave -----> less players ----> less updates... (wanna me to continue??)

As far as I know the servers are in LA, so probably it is natural to assume that one of the adms might live in US. So, I dont think their English is as bad as you imagine )) However, even the "off. annoncements" on RU are not exactly famous for being written without any mistakes. Well.. I dunno any programers who ever won author-of-the-year award. ))
As for the second class citizens - simple arithmetics:

Lexa came down hard on the cheaters first day he/she returned, but now, is nowhere in sight again.
The community rejoiced at action being taken, and finally being acknowledged...but once again, the CaA is getting backed up.
Realistically a person in power need only check the forums 1-2x daily to keep up with the reports.
Is this too much to ask?
Before we can have events, or anything more added, we need to build a stronger foundation. To but it bluntly, the administration here isn't strong enough to support more players. It isn't that there aren't enough players that come here, quite frankly, there are--but they leave due to the poor customer service (for those that pay) and poor in game support from the administration.
My father is a General Contractor, and I've seen him build so many buildings from the ground up--and one thing that stuck with me that might help you understand this situation is: "You can only make a building as sturdy as its foundation."

And with that kind of attitude do you think Brother B will still want to ride a bike??? Yes some will… good for them … but how about those that get discouraged and quit???
AND BTW weren’t you saying in the first place that our low server number justified for NO server improvement and regular developer messages??? Now we are losing our top players while waiting to increase server number...(LOL...)
