You also cannot use a mana tube if you are in a challenge, ie Waiting for a group battle to start.
I found that out the hard way hehe. I joined right away to secure my spot, then tried to use the mana tube...and it didn't let me ^^

| maybe a bit off topic, but if the mana tube can't be used in combat or during waiting for a combat, then what use is it for ? |

So you don't have to wait 30min for your mana recover. In post#4 LS tried to use the mana tube right before he entered combat. If he was successful, then he would have more mana. Since he didn't use it, he may have been forced to enter the combat with only half of his mana. |

Thanks for the answer, but I believe I have read somewhere that says after a battle where all mana was used, mana does not start from zero to recover.
Although I've not really looked at it carefully, but for me, it seems that troop recovery is taking more time than mana recovery. Maybe my mana reserve is low ? |

For hunts, 75% of mana used is restored to you.

Hunters' Guild - Hunters should take to consideration, that three quarters of mana used in hunt will be immediately restored after finishing it.
All others will not restore any and you end battle with whatever you had left.
Troop recovery is 15 minutes for 0 to 100%
Mana recovery is 30 minutes for 0-100% |
| Seems to me (but don't see it written anywhere) that the 75% mana rule also applies to MG quests. Anyone else can confirm? |

Yes it does apply to MG quests...it applies to all non-hero controlled combat
IE doesn't give you the bonus regeneration in Thief caravans either
