Authorwait, what?
so now, by Divine Law, i am required to wear artifacts to a fight, even though that might not be necesarry at all. Or lightning will strike me.

Quite a unpleasant surprise. Can anyone explain the reasoning behind this?
its so the economy doesnt fail,

if nobody buys resources from mines they run out of gold because people always enroll production facilities use resources, so using arts uses resources so the mines dont run out of gold so we can enroll and make money

Mines still run out of gold. Admins just fill it back up every month.

Very few players actually buy to enroll.
yes but the mines wouldnt run out of gold if the resources kept being bought which is why the AP limit was bought in, surely thats the question answered the AP limit helps this situation but doesnt solve it

Was that the real reason? All I saw being accomplished was so that players could enroll into the factories. And a side effect of resellers in the market place for factory arts.

Welcome to level 5 ^_^

The AP rule is a cheap way to force people use artifacts. Cheap in all meanings of the term..

You'll quickly come to realize that, all in all, it barely changes anything; but if you wear one artifact, and if you see that as a good thing, why not wearing nine? So full arts battles are born - and people playing with full arts are winning their battles, while others cry foul game.

Consider the AP rule as a "friendly" reminder that artifacts exist, are part of the game, and that gold earned at factories is not just here to play roulette :)

It's not like i'll ever play. Gambling is stupid.
I dislike games like WOW

where to be competitive you are COMPELLED to wear the unique rare gold label SET of DOOM artifacts (since everyone has it) and there are NO means to take it away (except than to introduce ANOTHER unique rare gold label SET of DOOM +1 artifacts). Then you need to grind again for this unique set until +2 arts come up.

BTW i never played WOW but i know what it is all about.

With durability and compulsion to wear arts = create demand = economy.
I actually find all these arguments about AP rule driving the economy mildly amusing.

I enroll to make money. And the main reason I want to make money is so I can spend it (buy arts, change faction, maybe improve smith/enchant guild level). There's no need to force me to spend it with the AP rule. What do they think I'll do with the money? Sit on it?

Maybe there are players out there who just want to hoard the gold and not really play the game. Is that really why? That's really a horrible way to play.
It's also to slow down the leveling process so people can enjoy the game and not just power-level, I think. Without the AP rule, a fantastic player can just go into combat without any weapons and win ( good strategy, and not against impossible hunts of course)

They don't need to interact, no need to enroll even since they can just earn through hunts and MG, no need the bonus defence if they are full might build and just reach max level without any care in the world.

I just think it's to make people slow down, smell the roses and interact with others as a community, not as a WoW instance like game
Sit on it?
i do

Even though I fail to see how the AP rule makes you slow down, smell the roses, and interact, I do like your explanation.

Since 2 players mentioned WoW and I did play WoW extensively twice (and quit 2 times), I have to say WoW does forces forces interaction in PvP and PvE (instances and raids).
for Pantheon:
I kinda see it as needing to ask for loans, trades, selling stuff to get money, chatting on chat and forums while needing to wait for the next workhour to end for cash... But I was just trying to give a different perspective and point on the matter.
for Takesister: Hmm.. but I do those activities because of the 15min troop recovery or the traveling time or the ambush 1hr cooldown.
