Are we whining? Maybe we are.
But please notice that some of the players whining here do it for a reason: to show their disapproval about a particluar change in gameplay announced yesterday. A change that may bring more negative effects than positive ones (I, for myself even have doubts about the existence of such positive effects).
After all, this is the purpose of this forum: to discuss game related issues. I don't see any problems as long as the discussion doesn't turn into a flame-war.
My two cents about the "harder for newcomers" thing:
For newcomers it will be much easier (as it already is) than back in the days when I started playing. There will be (and there already are) much more creature types to hunt and kill in merc quests. That means more easy exp to level up quickly and much more easy fsp.
As for thief guild availability:
Maybe the current renting possibilities will be gone. But there are already much more TGIs in the system than needed. Players can still buy their own, just like I did. See .ru: 71 TGIs at the market, the cheapest one for 286k (for comparision: I bought mine for 400k+). | i didn't mean to offend anyone. of course, if you have a reason, whine, i would do the same and i wouldn't be offended by the term.
but i do disagree that new players will have it easier than players registered at E.g. 07-15-08 01:41

Haha.. u won't get so easily 'discouraged' coz he already played this game over here for decades. :p Besides, u know whatever happens there, u have a lvl 11 character to fall back on over here. :p
Anyway, the term used is 'newbie', and that can't be it coz there's even a sticky called "Newbie Guide" for... newbies. :p
As for 'whiners', I would be amazed if it's that word coz I have seen it used countless times in so-many-posts-I-lost-count without repercussion.
Anyway, I have wrote to Kotrin and started a thread (https://www.lordswm.com/forum_messages.php?tid=1867572) about it. So let's just chill (as per advised by a kind mod. haha.. ) and see what he says when he comes back online. :) |
