Well well well...
Okay, the Enchantment change seems to loom here too, my hopes shatter. Or not. Here is current enchantment table from .ru:
10% - 30 Elements
9% - 24 Elements
8% - 19 Elements
7% - 15 Elements
6% - 12 Elements
5% - 9 Elements
4% - 6 Elements
3% - 4 Elements
2% - 2 Elements
1% - 1 Elements
Will people rush to have every item enchanted? at 8000+ per Windflower, the "rush" is certainly short-lived unless you are awfully wealthy. And would it be worth it considering new, high level artifacts will be released probably at the same time? Is it worth having an heavily enchanted level 10 artifact over a mundane (or less enchanted) level 12 one? Only time will tell.
Same for market, by the way. Will people disgusted by Enchantment prices more numerous than those willing power at all cost? I don't know. But I'm sure there will be huge market variations from now to the update.
On the long run now...
1. Enchanted Artifacts will be rarer. That's obvious. So comparatively Enchanted Artifacts will be valued more than now. People having them will probably "save" them for important battles in their eyes.
2. People will have to figure out the maximum effect out of a given number of Elements. Since the Enchantment table is non-linear, the x3 multiplier is only for a 10% enchantment; lower enchantments require less Elements. So if you have 30 Elements, is it better to have one 10% item or two at 5% and one at 6%? The latter, of course. So people will tend to wear several "medium enchanted items" over a single, big enchanted one.
3. Consequence of #2, Enchanter levels are much less important now. Element becomes the key point, not Enchanter skill or availability.
They were already disabled in sanctioned tournaments, now they are made more expensive. I think Enchantments are basically downgraded. |
Very good observations, and quite rightful one, too.
It is believed that the introduction of this mechanics will kill the following two birds:
-Lower level Enchantments will actually given preference to, thus, those who are in the idle of the guild progress will have a chance for rivalry with the 4x10% ones;
-As derived from the first one, the useless EG race will be put to an end, preventing wholemarket buyout and actually lowering the element price.
Two more factors are worth mentioning:
1) the Enchantments being downgraded will be compensated by a considerable upgrade: making the 10 times more effective with relation to Magic resistances compared to the current state;
2) the limited element supply will be broken for a long time with introduction of lots of new quest types, some of which are shockingly easy to do, doable even by a combat level 3 Lord. |
@42 (the meaning of the Enchanters life :P)
Really, really hoping so...
Nowadays I feel that Enchanting worth much much less than repairing. Max level smiths make a quite good profit from their profession. The same doesn't apply to enchanters at any level...
I wait for the day, when customers pay for enchanting :) |
Is it worth having an heavily enchanted level 10 artifact over a mundane (or less enchanted) level 12 one?
oh, yes :) |
Such innovation very much early for this server. At present at us is only 9 weaponsmiths capable to put Nx10 %, 3 jewelcrafters - max Nx2x8 % +Nx1x8 %, 2 armourers - max Nx2x8 %... |
Is it worth having an heavily enchanted level 10 artifact over a mundane (or less enchanted) level 12 one?
Yes, especially considering that some lower-level weapons have higher durability :)
limited element supply will be broken for a long time with introduction of lots of new quest types
Sounds promising. Something to look forward to :) |
Such innovation very much early for this server.
It is our belief that such "innovation" should ave existed since he very appearance of the Enchanters' guild =)
Second thoughts are usually best... ;-) |
I am afk
help me please |
Arctic, could you tell at least when the updates will come into life?
Notthe exact hour, minute, second ... but at least "in 2 weeks, after Xmas ..." ...
PLS |

Arctic:
-As derived from the first one, the useless EG race will be put to an end, preventing wholemarket buyout and actually lowering the element price.
About the EG race part, I believe the quite opposite will happen. As people are forced to do lower level enchanting, more chanters will compete for the 'job'. And go figure what will happen...
And for the price part, why would the price drop? Assuming people have to do lower level enchanting rather than the full 4x10%, they are still doing it. As long as there is someone want the element, the price would not fall. Of course the current panic mode is an abnormal. But how much room it can go down? |
|
I only wonder if there will be a chance for new enchanters to reach a decent level without 2-3 multis purging elements into their accounts. :-(
But I have to think about this for a while, observe, count and reconsider to come back smarter. |
Does anyone considered what happened in case of price increase? now..for full weapon art set u need 360 elements! see that huge number? 360!.
Prove me wrong, but I think it's 720. |

To reach level 5 is not too hard. Less than 300 elements. And according to Arctic, that is maybe enough.
Back in the old days when fire cost <3000 gold per point, it was less stressful. Nowadays, it is still doable but a lot harder.

You're right. Each point of the weapon enchant need 2 elements. |
30 elements for 10%, 120 for 4x10%, unless you need more than 3 weapons, 360 elements, right?
Also I think there is no point in this weird freaking obsession with 4x10 enchantments. 4x10, 4x10, I need 4x10, you can pawn someone to ground with 3 weapons 3x9 with no problems. |
OH, 720, really? I think I got the whole point wrong. |
But you guys do not see the basic point , as more elements will be requred and more quests will be introduced , prices will drop down . |
30 pairs of elements for 10% |
