| I would like this thread to be about ideas other then blocking that would allow the people who failed to reach TG 2 to repay the people who rented. And or figure out a way of re-imbursment. So they are not blocked by the administration. If this becomes a whine fest and not only positive ideas. I will lock the thread. |

There was a lot of warning that this was going to happen.
People who rented in the last few days knew what they were doing and I would suspect some/most of these rentals were done on purpose to "give" a free TGI to a friend or multi. These players should probably be blocked as per the current rules.
Ones who rented earlier will be harder to consider though I would expect an atempt to repay the cost to the renter either in gold or with arts would be looked upon favourably.
Just my opinions though and I am sure the admins are already considering this. |
I rented before the warnings and now i don't know what i'm going to do and i also had a penalty for my very past illegal transfers. What can i do ?

If u can't afford it now pay it in 5043 easy rates of 64,2343 gold per day, or whatever u can afford and the lender will accept.
Either u get blocked anyway because it takes u too long or u don't and pay it off, in any case its the "ethical" right thing to do anyway, if u ask me. |

| 3.15. Large transfers for the reason of leaving the game etc. are forbidden. Presents must not exceed 30% of the monetary property of the character per month. Monetary property is considered: gold + seven primary resources (wood, ore, mercury, sulfur, crystals, gems, leather) only. Rare trophies, Thief invitations, etc. transferred as gifts are valued at market price. |
| It would be kind of absurd for TimeWaster to get blocked for this. Sure, it's a gift, but it's an involuntary one. It's not like he refuses to have it back. |

well, I see a slight problem in TGI renting. We all know that loans can be extended up to 1 full month. Announcement about TG changes came on November 14th giving exactly 14 days to "new thiefs" to return their debts. However, I can imagine this dialogue between renter and new thief let's say on November 13th:
New thief: hello, I am interested in your TGI
Renter: ok, here are my conditions: ...
NT: ok, I accept... however, I am quite busy now in real life, I will not be able to play very much until MM.DD. (insert any date until it's too late, e.g. Nov. 28th ;) ).
R: ok, that's not a problem, but if you fail to return TGI within 30 days, you'll be blocked.
NT: don't worry, I'll play 16 hours a day since MM.DD.
R: ok, then we have a deal ;)
Renter transfers his TGI and next morning, he can't believe rules change. In this case, I believe none of the two are really responsible for lost TGI. My point is - administration should give warning sooner. Exactly one month sooner. |
