Author | A vote about current "blindfold" tournament |
To Omega22:
The problem is that the greatest military clans should lead by example in the way this tournament is conducted.
Blindfolded should not turn to GB, with not aware opponents who try to enjoy a tournament after so many months of no event.
Administration should have taken some kind of measures regarding how the teams are set and finally make a GB tournament type.
In this tournament, I am proud with the way my guild respected this event.
Although -unfortunately- everything is considered legal, WGW put counter measures so that we don't use unfair advantage.
Warriors Guild Wrath also have skype session as EW and could simply ensure that they have a team to every battle levels 9-10 7/24 so we get easy victories.
However WGW did not do that although we had all means at disposal.
We put some effort to avoid ganging up.
Tell me if Elite did an effort as well to avoid ganging if you think you did ;-) |
for Omega22:
And I don't know what happened between EW and DA. I have no interest in
that either. There may be some conflicts between you 2. True I have
watched some 6-fold battles and DA were always allied. But that's normal
battles, not the tournaments. I can't comment them since I have met no
cheaters from DA.
But for EW, I could affirm every single lvl 10 attending this tournament
are staging their battles.
Stop using excuses that other clans start staging blah blah. That's not the
truth for this tournament. |
Almost all clans have some sort of off game communication. We DS too have MSN and YM groups. But I still don't see any complaints made against us, or the majority of the MCs. |
Administration should have taken some kind of measures regarding how the teams are set and finally make a GB tournament type.
They have taken measures, but we avoided their intended format. So they decided to let it go instead of starting penalising whole level 9-13. |
Update on my previous post:
Battle is over. Just as I suspected, the top 3 in this fight were from EW! EW players are gonna get rich from this tournament unfairly. They are worthless fools who feel like they have to work together and ambush non clan-mates in order to win. Take your dirty money so-called "elite" warriors. |
for Omega22:
Sorry for my anger and loss of temper.
I think admin should turn back the limit 2 from the same clan for lvl 11 and
below.
It's just too frustrated that You had 3 or 4 players from "that" clan
and they wiped you out before you have a few turns to act.
If only 2 from "that" clan, even they are staging, other players still
have chance to defeat them. |
you don't see any complaints against you because not everyone have a constant need of whining about everything and continuing even after the admins have said that what's been done is okay is just ridiculous. |

These were my two efforts of joining alone. No, thank you. I didnt like it.
Yes, there were public and private intentions to stop this at the beginning, failed. The fact remains that such coordination is mostly possible at high levels 10+. And which clan has most of level 10+ players, right, you are there, its EW on most levels. |
The admins had a choice to make. Either punish everyone who was engaging in these staged battles or let it go. They chose the easy option, which is to say that there can be no staged battles in this tournament and that what you're doing is ok. The administration doesn't necessarily agree with what you're doing, they just don't want to bother investigating and punishing all the people doing it because it involves so many players. |
Roll back, that would be fun to see :)
Roll back all accounts to pre-tourney ! No more tourney, no prizes given, and all would have lost 8 days in their LWM lives :) |

6) let the tournament continu, give everyone his participation fee back and withdraw the prices.
I ll vote for that, lol |
whatever...admins run this server, and all we can do is complain (which many already have). No sense to boycott the event since there is still good xp/fsp to be made.
On a last note, I copy/pasted what Moderator Kotrin said in another thread about Empire's stance on this event and mailed it to my own clan...and told my mates to go ahead and do whatever they want since the leaders of other clans were not "so blunt" with their dissatisfaction of how things were going.
Most folks care too much about the politics, instead of enjoying the game.
Best of luck to you all.
Cheers,

From my point of view, I have to vote for 1.
As obviously all the other heroes love to team up against necroes it's a waste of time and money for me and other necroes. Let the knifgts and elves battle among themselves! |
6. I didn't join at all and probably won't in the future. ;)
I'm pretty sure, that no one wants to insult a whole clan, there are most probably some Elite Warriors who don't stage up tournament battles. But at the others: It's so obvious that you divide ranks in tournament among yourself, you just can't deny it without beeing laughed out.
Hate? No, but it's a shame you obviously have to take advantage of pre-staging battles to win. It's your reputation, go on like this, if you wish. Enjoy your XP and golds. I'm adult enough to don't care too much about it. I want fun in the game and I think I won't level up too fast in future, I don't want to be surrounded by you "I want to win whatever it costs"-guys. You're too pro for me, mates. ^^ |
And to the few EW who have spoken in this thread: You shouldn't blame anyone who dislikes your clan after this tournament, you should better talk to your clan mates and tell them to let it be. It's obvious that such behaviour provokes anger and frustation. Your clan mates began this with their staged battles, so don't blame people who are complaining about it.
And they do harm to the whole community with it, it's less peaceful then before here. Better encourage them to take another way, it's your clan sign that is beeing thrown into the mud. |

I hope leaders of for example DA and other clans would start and encourage their members to take another way as it is their clans reputation that is thrown into the mud.
peace and love

34:
I like that for a few reasons:
1. If I don't stage every single one of my battles, I don't stand a chance to win vs. players like selfist.
2. The sheer number of EW members, and the fact that most know each other means that even if you are not trying to gang on anybody, you have to go along with it. They know you and will not attack- but if you attack them, well, it just turns out for you.
3. This tournament is so unbalanced without clan ganging, there is simply no point in competing unless you are a knight, wizard, or necromancer. |
