in fact: i did!
or to be more precise: i did enjoy the variation for the "everyday-gaming-routine".
there were a lot of frustrating and angering problems (disscussed in dozens of threads - no need to repeat them now) so if you look at the tournament as such it was... well...ermmm...not-so-good.
but i remember to well the months were nothing happened, (almost)everybody was crying and whining for updates, tournaments and news...
so i liked the tournament, as a sign of progress, of developement, of admins (or better Arctics) presence. and besides that, SOME of the battles were realy fun. |

I enjoyed it a lot, as blindfold is my favorite battle type. =D
I especially like when people start trying to save their lives and backstab their "allies" in hopes to get a higher rank in the end. Even if I was the victim! The most boring battles were those with a known outcome from the start, because of unholy alliances, but as said above, there's already a great literature on the subject. Hopefully, only 2-3 of my 20 battles looked staged.
Oh, and the x2 Faction and Experience multiplier was nice too. |
Up to the sixth match I've enjoyed it much. Then the seventh was a staged unfair and useless battle and the eighth was ruined by the server problems. I stopped the tournament.
It's not my favourite kind of tournament for sure. |
All other things being said.....Yes I had fun.

Change is nice. Even with the many failures/cheats/manipulations, or whatever you want call them, of his tournament, the variation was a nice change of pace.
When a battle is truly blindfold then it is fun. |

The idea of that type battle; 2x fsp and xp was good and sometimes it was real funny.
However tournament style i didn't like, since 20 battles with an average time of 2 hours in 10 days were almost impossible... when u sleep and work daily also!
By the way it was not the 'clearest' competition at all.... but to be honest i liked it anyway! |

I forgot to mention that 20 battles to finish in 8 days is hard for anybody with a job and or family. Making it 15 days or only 10 battles would allow more to finish it.
Still large majority of players are thankful we got a tournament. All the recent drama regarding the tournament is only due to the fact that people care about this game and enjoy it. People that dont care dont say anything.
Thanks to all those that had a part in bringing this and the other updates to us. Since most of them hide in the shadows I will say thanks to Arctic. |

| Worst tourney ever. If there were no staged battles i m sure people would complain more about difference in factions. Demon, elf were simply sitting ducks for tourney at level 10. Wizards were overpowered at most levels or people were afraid too attack them cause of points and it was more important too not lose first or second than too win. Some winners were staging battles from start making whole tourney big joke. But what is most important we saw erors that were made in this tourney and next one will be the same cause as i see people like too flame each other more than too make things right. In this case i think big clans should talk about next blind fold tourney(if there will be any in future). Will it be clan tourney like this one or leaders will punish people who stag battles with instant kick from clan or something else... |
