Here is another case study from my combat log.

All lost with knight AP10. The total HP decreases about 5% after each loss.
*NUC=non upgraded creatures
*UC=upgraded creatures
I wonder if counting HP is the right way to do this:

From the two caravans I got (same kind of set) yesterday,

#1,
10 titan
25 magi
17 lorekeeper
482 gargoyles
Total HP: 10090

#2,
27 senior genies
14 magi
22 lorekeeper
252 modern golem
Total HP: 8175

Which is almost 20% drop....
It may have worked for you Liuker, but for me the system is still garbage. Example: 2 Caravans of Knights:

I lost to both of them and the number of cavalry INCREASED from the 1st to the 2nd! How is that a "decrease" in difficulty!? The difficulty level WENT UP after I lost! It's not fair! Admins should have never touched the caravan system! It was fine the way it was. It wasn't perfect by any means, but at least it was much fairer than this garbage!

I've also noticed that your caravans of knights were bugged. Your caravan hero didn't cast any magic while mine did. Mass rapid, stoneskin, and bless certainly makes any caravan much harder.
past dark elf faction only face about 70% number of caravan compare to other faction,maybe demon equal to dark elf.but it's actually knight,nec and other faction need to face more enemy.and it's why half of year ago,almost all dark elf in top 25.because they can do more thief ambush than other faction.but dark elf is a very powerful faction.the set is incorrect.adm just adjust to balance this error.

Comparing Javi's and mine it looks like either:
1.) Caravan difficulty was reset and now Knights and DE get the same caravans.
2.) DE now gets 200% (or some other % above 100) number compared to Knights.
3.) Some other weird formula or combination of things.
Why don't admins just say, that we are not welcome in their game? ^^

That is rough. I would be livid if months of work to reduce the difficulty of the caravans were wiped out due to an unannounced reset. They always announced these kinds of changes before and now they just implement it and think that the players wouldn't notice? That's not right.

what you provide prove nothing.you should provide 2 series battle with different faction but fight the same enemy.compare their number and creature.

mm i knew i should have started .ru not .com, the biiter side- its too much time invested here..
nothing is reset.stop your fantasy.although they are the same caravan but not the same.at least you should compare while the large unit is all cavalry or royal griffin or griffin.even royal griffin and griffin are different.

How do you calculate 8023xp?

So your theory is that after 2/14 all factions get the same caravan numbers? And that was the only change? Then which faction stayed the same while all the other factions adjusted to that faction's difficulty?
Some people, like me as necro (didn't try as DE), didn't experience any changes. This blows away the idea of a general reset. Thus, comparing your caravans with the one of another player is pointless.

In the russian news provided a few post before, Maxim said DE caravans where beefed up by 20%. Beeing a game admin, I hardly doubt he would throw some random bullshit around.

If your caravans are too hard, blame yourself for a bad long term strat, not the game.

What about other factions? Some non-DE players have noted changes to difficulty as well.

Aside from general difficulty change, I believe the difficulty increase/decrease formula after every battle may have changed as well. See my post #50 and Jabbar's post#70 response.

After reading numerous topics after the unannounced update I'm still unsure what exactly was changed, but everyone can agree something was changed. My best theory is that the admins did 2 changes:
1.) Faction difficulty balancing (so caravans have gotten easier, harder, or no change). They may have also changed the numbers/difficulty for each caravan type, which explains why the same player and faction have felt that the difficulty of different caravan types have changed (both up and down).
2.) The difficulty adjustment formula changed. Some have proposed that it changed from -5% / +7% to -10% / +14%.
This topic is long since last update and considered obsolete for further discussions.
