with minimum of 1 to spell power and 2 to knowledge you can Rapid, Delay, Bless, Curse.

As said above, you get access to the spells Rapid, Delay, Bless and Curse.

Rapid will allow you to boost your troops' initz for a while, allowing you to get more turns. Bless allows you to do max damage with your units. Both are quite powerful for a Knight as their troops are slow but can do a lot of damage with support.
Delay will slow enemies down and curse will cause your opponents to do minimum damage. This is help you protect your own troops against your enemies.
As all of them cost 4 mana each, you will need mana to cast it. Each point of Knowledge you have grants you 10 mana, so you would need point in KNowledge to cast the spells.
The duration of the spells is determined by Spell Power. The spells lasts for a number of rounds equal to your Spell Power, with a minimu of 0.5 rounds at Spell Power 0.
So you would need to invest in such stats if you want the most out of the Magic Guild. Weight the costs and decide if you need it. |
It's quite a useful building to have. However, if you're poor, recruits go before magic guild. Anyway, magic guild is really useful at times, especially rapid. Bless is sldom used but it can help your swords if in a tough spot. Rapid is great when your griffs are one move behind a major stack and you really gotta attack first. Then, I use rapid to place it just before the enemy stack and get in a hit first. Works a lot. |
for a might built knight, they will told you: magic guild is nothing but waste of gold.
for a magic/hybrid built knight, they will told you: of course, magic is useful.

I beg to differ, Pang. Even a might knight at his level can use magic to help him. Many a times in my battles, I have to get in a hit first to cripple the enemy and save my griffs or whatever other stack then Rapid is great. I don't need a strong Rapid. All I want is to boost it up temporarily to dish out the pain first. So, even for a might knight, Magic Guild 1 is definitely NOT useless. |
Get it, it's good. Don't turn into magic Knight, offer just 2 parameter points in knowledge and 1 in spell power, those spells have strategic use in combat. Even in level 1 magic guild is useful, if you only play with attack and defense then you're not a Knight, you are a Barbarian !!! |
before lvl 8, its quiet useless to skill on magic, i prefered spellpower 0 and knowledge 1 to have chance for blessing swords or bows twice a combat
like magebuild knight lvl 8 using darknessmagic
in my opinion its very strong in groupbattle
so yes, think its usefull to build mageguild |
Get it if you can afford it...if you plan on making Knight your primary faction--then it is absolutely necessary. If it is just a "playing for pvp def" faction...you can probably live without it. |
