| What makes you guys think he is doing this for popularity? Have some shame on yourself. Someone tries to do something for the server, you say its for gaining popularity, and then you go complaining that there are no events? How is this going to give him any popularity? If you don't like the idea, just leave your comments, why are you telling something you aren't even aware of? If you are so much insisting, tell me a place where he has been attempting a publicity campaign. |

Well , I have something in my mind . First the MCC will elect in their clan , 3 of people which has most vote in MCC will form the party and they choose who will be the leader of combat level . After they all done picking the best at every CL , we will have election , but not for people , for party . The party with most vote will become the winner. It will make this thing become less complicated . |

Maybe you are the one not trying to understand what others are saying or maybe you are not saying it well. But you are getting angry on it. If you want to do something as you say (democracy) you must be open to discussion without getting angry.
And someone, for god's sake, please tell me how will this bring politics into the game.
When you have an audience a small saying makes it like that. maybe when others are saying a word like monarchy it doesn't mean that they knew what they are saying or that they aren't saying it from their feelings and not logic. You on the other hand have tried for activities so when you use words like Democracy, decision making everyone takes it serious and it does mean politics.(just to note: i haven't said it yet)
(I don't want to quote more so here it goes). I am enjoying the game and every second of it because i do my activity, want to have it, and have good relations with other players(not all of course but i try to). and i have not seen any of the players near me to complain that much because we are enjoying it together like any other game.
then he/she doesn't deserve to play this game.
This was what i didn't expect you to say. this leads to dictatorship. who are we to say someone shouldn't play the game. everyone is allowed to play and they are allowed to enjoy playing only VS A.I . If they don't want more they should be allowed to do so. this is democracy.
What would you do to make this game more interesting in admin absence WITHOUT asking every single person to join a clan?
You have done it. your previous tournaments. all of us have organized some events of our own, some successful and some not, but the difference is the way you offer it. you don't need to go that far. when people want it they will search for it as you say. and the interested people contacts others too. people want simpler and easier things not complicated ones as you are saying it. thats why everyone tries to find your agenda.(even if there is none other than good will)

Please try to understand that there are only a few people who may not understand what is happening and it is the responsibility of the author to write it in someway to understand. but some of us(which i think maybe majority here) do understand what he wants to do. he wants players to have more fun and in larger groups(as simple as this). everyone here does. but he may lack the experience of how to go through it. sometimes the best leaders are put aside when the majority do not accept their methods. But here it's a game and i should say :"just a game". i really liked his past tournaments even though i didn't enter them. he should go easy and it all goes better. |

Look at who has written it. I have not written that line, it was written at post #81. Please do not jump into premature conclusion.

First of all, I am not in any way going to head this organization. Secondly, how can you tell I don't have the necessary experience? You are looking at the combat level? Then you are completely off-track. I was a part of this game directly or indirectly almost from the time this game had started.

Who decides who is the best? You tell me. In democracy even if the player is not good in organization, he'll atleast be accountable to the people. Or otherwise how will you guarantee expertise of a person? Looking at his combat level? Not possible.
Moving away from the topic, I'd like to add that there has always been a common misconception among people in this game that it is solely the combat level of a player that determines his/her level of expertise in the game. This notion needs to be corrected to a good extent and soon enough. |

Well said. This thread (and some other threads too) got too many whiners. I can see some problems with this democracy concept, but noone will lose anything if we try it. It might even produce some nice events.
Those that don't like it can refrain from participating. It is not necessary to clutter the forum with purely negative comments. What I would like to see is one positive and constructive suggestion paired with each negative. For example:
The voting process is bad because ... but will work better if .... |

I agree with this too. I guess nothing in this world is perfect and more and more loopholes will be found in this soon, but till then, we can go ahead, correcting the mistakes in the way. |
I am still skeptical about this 'democracy'. Its not about the good intentions behind this democracy but the amount of time and work required by customers to make this product fun.
For me, dedication and loyalty can go so far when the creators can not be bothered in maintaining and innovating their product. It tells a lot what the customers mean to them.
For me, I helped this server in my own way and talked with my wallet. I bought diamonds (Arch litch) so that the admins can IMPROVE this game (Oh please dont counter-argue with technicalities such as 'donations' or 'game for the people, by the people'. EVERYTHING IN THIS WORLD IS MONEY DRIVEN and if money is given, service is expected). yes if I were to donate red cross, I expect service to the needy... not stagnation or money going straight to CEO/admins as yearly salary 'bonus'.
So democracy or not, Vlaer are you so blinded by fan-boy-ism? Dont you think your precious time would be better spent on other matters? like giving dedication to games that deserve dedication (and thus promoting PC game industry)... and let stagnating games DIE as they deserve? |

1. Like my previous posts implied, this idea hasn't been very clearly written out
2. Given by the amount of negative posts it seems like the implementation of this idea way harder than Vlaer ever imagined. Forget about starting the election process, the creation of events, and then running the events. This idea is dead before the ground existed :D
3. 1 week and 94 posts later this idea is still only been talked about. If this idea has any support, why not just go ahead and do it? What's stopping you? At this rate the first event from this new org would happen in 2015 :D |

I considered what Pantheon had said. As an IIT-JEE (a competitive exam) aspirant, I have very less time in my hands as of now, so to give this organization a structure would be hard for me. So if anyone has a good amount of time to spend, they are very much welcome to do it. Anyways, if I become active soon, I'll go ahead with it if no one does.
