so +1 but we really need to do something about lack of player joining the event being organised.
so to keep game alive you need politics in game ?.. I am not against events but events organized by clans few weeks back were not able to raise activity of players on com. Not many participated and you think the new so called organization will be able to improve it ?.. Be optimistic but be realistic too.
You can spend days in this topic about the discussion of such democracy, but there is no hope for such thing getting implemented. Seriously i have never seen any idea got implemented here. Or even if it gets implemented I doubt it will be able to raise activities in server. To assume we can assume anything. Just think practically... |

just give you opinion about this idea only.
there is no hope for such thing getting implemented
this idea are not the same as other because this idea can be implemented by our self, we dont need to wait for admins to do it for us.
so to keep game alive you need politics in game ?
if you dont like it just give more idea to improve it, other than whining.

and about ur views on MCC. u should make note that the main purpose of creation of MCC was to take people's queries on the merge and submit them to the admin(MCC was founded after news on probable merge came out). the events they held were just extras to keep themselves occupied. MCC is like a charity event where all celebrities come together for a cause! A cause which went no where till now :( |

about Vlaer's idea:

There you got a good point mate.But the game is already dying.We need something to revive it.I only see maximum 600 players online and whereas on ru server there are about 10,000 online every minute .This is because they hold events frequently.We need something to attract more players.Better to do something than just sit idly and wait.Lets just hope this will work.

Sounds to me that what you are talking about something which already exists and is called "a clan". Just join/create a clan and then get everyone on the server to join it and your idea will be fullfilled. Unless of course not everyone is interested or decides not to join your clan.
This idea should not be confused/compared with the MCC though. The MCC already serves the needs of the whole server through it members which include chosen representatives of all the MCs as well as other players who are not chosen for their MC members ship and some are not even members of a MC.
The big difference is that the MCC is an official clan.

| I am randomly making things clear here. First of all, this is not politics. Politics come into play when the elected members have power, in this case, they don't have any except organizing events, activities and helping others out. Secondly, I have never said no to any kind of criticism. Just check it out, so many players (Laitha, Pantheon to name a few) have criticized this suggestion putting forward valid reasons for disapproval. As in post #53, please do not simply write +1, -1, or you like or dislike. This is more of a debate and that is precisely why this has been moved to OGF. Also, please leave your interpersonal quarrels behind in this forum. I'll henceforth not be replying to any such posts. Also, coming to all the questions that have accumulated, I'll be covering them up one by one. |

I'll reason all those point wise as you have given.
1. I don't think voting will be messy. The voters just have to send a single PM and a post in the forum. If I am missing something out, pls let me know. About finding number of interested people...now see, if you want change and if you aren't willing to work for it...nothing can be done. Anyways, everyone is free to participate, so if someone feels the leaders are being repetitive, they should come out and participate. Anyways, if more people are made aware of this organization, I think we might get participants.
2. The main idea of this is to remove this problem. As I have said earlier, what needs to be done and what not solely rests with the president, so whatever may be the result of a discussion, the president can take a final call.
3. Why do you think they have 0 experience? I'd be straight forward and say that it is not only the members of MCC or any such organization who have the experience needed. Also, this is not a question of me, this is a question about the ones being elected, so I am out of the picture. Anyways, let me ask a simple question - With full respects to MCC, if there were so many experienced members in the MCC, why wasn't a nicely planned PvP event cancelled? I guess too many chiefs spoil the dish. In this case, the representatives are elected by the people, so they are atleast accountable to the people. Also, please note (I guess I heard this in the recent Bond movie) age is not a guarantee of expertise, and so is not one's combat level.
4. Getting funds is a very difficult part. The only way for funding could be through entry fee for tavern tourneys, and other such non-combat based events, or through voluntary donations, which could be hard to get.
5. Why are you comparing those competition which weren't successful? See the one conducted by CBS some while ago. It shows that if an event is conducted with vigour and a good organization, anything is possible. Yes, it was surely a while ago, but it can be done now also. |

Who said so? First of all, the leader is elected by you, so he has come into picture through your support, so if you don't like him, don't vote for him in the next elections, as simple as that. And also, you are not bound to join any event organized by anyone, I guess not even those of admins.
for DEATHisNEAR: There is a huge difference, I suggest you to go through all subsequent posts by me (not just the first one if you haven't already done so). I have reasoned all those questions and more. Also, let me clarify that one of the main motives of this organization is to provide events to everyone, not those in a particular clan or an MC. Also, your idea of putting everyone in a single clan is almost impossible. |
Now, referring to #51 (involvement of MCC).
It was very encouraging to see the MCC treasurer put forward a positive opinion in this issue.
Yes, help from MCC would be every essential, but the only worry is that this organization needs to be completely free from MCC control even if the former assists it. Why? Otherwise, the independence of this organization will be invaded. This organization should be interfered with only if it violates the rules of the game.
As someone said, MCC could be able to provide funds (with the Empire's permission of course) but a larger problem arises is that will it be able to? And even if it does, won't get get some power over this organization (which was not meant to be) and makes this organization not truly democratic? |
Another optimistic post by Vlaer... on this very active and well-maintained server.
Anyway, I am always in for any PvP event. Count me in.
But I am not going to hold my breath for upcoming player-driven events in my time-zone (Anyway I stopped hoping for fresh air in this server, thanks to our hard working admins).
And IF this idea gets implemented (.com idea getting implemented?), I give you my sympathies when it gets neglected and fall apart. |

If people are lazy to do this at least, then they should simply leave this game rather than cursing the admins. If we cannot send a simple PM, how can we expect anything to improve.
