AuthorFirst official LWM poetic contest [support topic]
I don't understand you guys. siddi, isn't your last poem written by Aaron Seesan, which died in 2005 (so it can't be you :))? And you were just talking about plagiarized content. They don't even have much in common with lordswm.

And I like the beginning of your first poem with "demons are red, faeries are blue". It's nothing bad with it, you didn't copy the verse, but the structure, and because it's so well known, it gives a + to the poem through intertextuality.
^^
completion: I see you changed a few words in the poem, but really that's very few (you even said "an friend" because in original it was "an American"..)

And this poem becomes much more valuable when you know it was written by a soldier that really died "in a foreign land", it's like a testament.
yes i knoe it doesnt have any connection with lwm.

but guys doesnt it make more sense when in the form of a warrior's tale?

and yes mods please remove the second poem.

i felt ashamed of putting up a fake one. :'(

thanks for making me realise my mistake paraleul :)

and yeah i liked my previous poem itself
Siddi you lost all the respect you earned by the first poem with this attempt.

Nnevermind...
so should i post another poem :3 what say you guys , just to raise the stakes :P
Life it hadnt and life did shed :3 aww yeah i'm awesome
Mind explaining your poem igles? I am confused
first advice k5 take it slow read it thrice :P
my english prof said that it was the most beautiful abstract piece he had ever read and he was totally shocked when he heard that i had written it when i was 14 :P

Igles,
I think your last poems has more than 64 lines.. maybe you should merge some or do something to stay in established limits ;).
your last poem*
@kushagra( i guess ) - My first poem was just a revise of what happened in lwm with an "ok" literature power.

The second poem contains massive meaning , atleast thats what my friends told me..Its much of a truthbreaker with much less vocabulary power ..

So , depends on choice of admins . Im sure as hell I ain't winning anyways.
thanks worf

and yes i shouldnt have posted it. :)

anyways i wonder if my earlier one was better?
TBI's right thanks man!!

the poem that i last posted is 80 lines and hence is not eligible,
so can any of the rulekeepers take it down :P

i'll just post another one then and this one will be on my character as well
i didnt post it because i thought it did not go with the theme of the competition so anyway

rulekeepers please tell me if this poem does not qualify
byt TBI i meant Paraleul
Woot , its time for judging the best of the bests.

And @astrid swift - "imagination sparks like thunder"

You copied that line from a video game poem , but still its a very effective line!
Actually it ends after 10th (10th is included)

So in next 24 hours you still can post works.

Dear Jury members (Warlock Naviron, Lady Laitha, Lord Syrian and Arctic, ofc)!

Starting from tomorrow, you can start evaluating the poems, respectfully grading each from 1 to 10, considering all elements (language, rhyming, imagery, etc).

I've decided not to disqualify poems which are longer than requested (65 lines and more), but all such will automatically get -1 (point deducted) from FINAL (see below) grade.

Same with ones not directly or even indirectly LWM-related - one point will be deducted the same way.

FINAL grade of each poem will be calculated as the mathematical average of all arbiter's grades (example: 8+5+7+7+6+9 / 6).
