If you like the guild then you shouldn't pay much attention to what others say or rather what they think about the guild. Regarding the usage of auto button, i think if you are more comfortable with it then there is no harm in using that feature. It's true that admins have provided the auto button for these battles but that doesn't mean everybody plays on auto (Atleast not me). In my case till date i have done each and every battle manually because i like playing them and i don't care much about what haters think about it :D

Well well, look who came back so quickly to talk about not caring about what others say on a forum thread where people should talk of the guild ;) Doubt they need a lesson from you though, I give the other person more credit for questioning our criticism because they did not at least go around labeling us haters. Not that i do not hate this guild but thats besides the point.
for virtual_vitrea:
I’ve done 3k+ hunts and 2k+ MG quests. None of them were challenging or fun, but I did them (like most of us) to build a competitive character for pvp, ST and different events. If I could’ve used an auto button in hunts and MG I would have used that. For LG events my guess is that it will be less important if you have LG 8 or LG 10 compared to the actual LG skill (army composition and battle tactics). In the long run every active player will have some decent troops to choose. I agree though that initially (like the LG events so far) it has been a huge difference between players, regarding level and troops (I guess leprechauns were quite nice).

I’m sure the time Expert_Bot invests in manually playing LG will pay off in further events not only because of a high guild level. I think the experience will be very valuable.

That said, I’m aware that we enjoy different things in this game and of course isn’t one style better than the other. But I do think that the LG reputation is unfair and I hope more of us will enjoy LG in the future.

Thanks for acknowledging that. It was pretty clearly to the extent of exclusion from the event for those who did not want to do this guild. I was stuck at an early wave with many defeats while at GL 0 where as those with GL 4 or above were doing all event battles with auto AFAIK. I mean they went about introducing a new guild and new events but if people use auto, might as well cut out all elements of ingenuity and design akin to a primitive point collection system pursued for the purpose of building a competitive character.
No other guild, be MG, HG or TG or whatever, locks you out of events for NOT PLAYING IT. That's more than enough to consider GL a 'bad guild' (whatever that means, that will be different to each person) in my book.
for chakkal2001:
Well, if I didn’t do HG and TG I’d have 8 less attack and 6 less initiative. That’s a huge handicap for events like the egyptian event we had recently.
Birds cost too much?
Maybe you should use vamps or some low cost unit instead?

I switch regulary, started losing much with wild griff switched to boar was good for some days then the same story, now skeleton sailor seems solid

for Majblomma:

mercenary warriors are nice unites take care of them!
for Majblomma: still doable by farming lower levels. We can also talk about how these last events 'reach 50 level' are also worse than previous ones where you could choose to go for stronger/weaker enemies and your score depended on how hardcore you wanted to play, while still able to rack wins for event rewards (imperial parts mainly) easily if you wanted to (but forfeiting good position in the event). But that's another whole story.

GL events, if you have low GL level, you are effed no matter how much you try. You may get lucky if you have some OP troop for whatever reason but that's it. Therefore they are 'forcing' everyone to play a particular guild if they don't want to miss on events.

Don't know about you, but I don't like being forced, even subtly, to do anything if I can help it (like I don't play normally HG, MG or TG and my only activity lately are daily WG, and not losing anything). Therefore thumbs down imo for this guild. Only redeeming quality it has it's it can be done on auto, so don't have to waste too much on it.

That is an atrocious comparison really. HG and TG give you xp and fsp, they are generally important - affect each and every one of your battle. If you didn't do them you wouldn't have handicap in egyptian event but rather in every single battle of the game. GL gives nothing but guild points for itself at the cost of some gold and a chance to play specific events.

You are happy with the guild, i get it. But to me its just a new guild that is majorly flawed. You called it unfairly criticized, but I say it deserves some of it. Its more questionable to me when you dont have any criticism for it. Thats why i was just going to leave our differences as "opinions."
LG is not fully developed yet, they said they were going to keep adding to it.

The method of training LG can be costly when players are used to making gold off of almost every battle they do. LG challenges players to figure out how best to advance through the guild, either by trying to make gold from battles by spending units or paying gold to get more guild points. Personally I'm enjoying it for now and hope that they expand on it further.
The potential enjoyment with LG comes from the need to adjust your army and try different strategies as either one troop becomes very expensive or you find a new one.

For example I used to use gremlin engineers since they normally shot first. I then adjusted to goblin archers since they hit harder, though was a gamble which ini 10 shot first. However had sky shamans so if needed would rapid them to ensure they hit first.

Now the sky shamans are 1045 and much more expensive than when I started using them. Just tried ditching them for another 50 or so shooters, which I think is for many battles better.

If you choose to auto everything with the same army, it is less hassle, though also less rewarding. For me much of the enjoyment comes from working out what to do in these sort of situations so give a certain reward that way.
im finding the battles a bit harder :D not sure if others are

First player in lwm to reach max level of Leaders guild. His level up rewards were also nice.

ScroogeMcDuck gets 519 gold, +1.5 LG point, Pegasus (+48 cnt.) to reserve, Dreadbanes (+7 cnt.) to reserve, Crusaders (+79 cnt.) to reserve, Enforcers (+103 cnt.) to reserve
Since I am doing 1 offs, found that 2 stacks of 6 nixes work really really well

I hope they never raise the maximum level.
I'd be very surprised if they didn't
Can anyone suggest the most cost effective build for doing 1s? Nixes are good but if at least 2 die then its already expensive to revive.
I don't consider myself an expert but here is what i have been using:
My 2018 setup suitable only for 1s: https://www.lordswm.com/war.php?lt=-1&warid=943356446 (in my best fight it costed 72g to revive)
My current one, universal: https://www.lordswm.com/war.php?lt=-1&warid=954328926 it evens out on 1s and may cost over 1000g for 1.5s.
For cheap battles I think you are best going for a build with minimal support, since these are normally expensive per hp, so while some of the time they do not get focused if they do it is costly.

With 1's you should be able to dominate the exchange, and as such would perhaps recommend for many one ranged and one melee using 80%, with the remaining being leprachauns, trappers, and then a chunk put into a second shooter stack.

I use 4 leprachauns and 2 turncoat mages. It is rare the turncoat mages do anything except get shot, but half the time that is their purpose. I think some people use goblin warlocks for a similar reason though I do not have them.

For some armies going shooter is the wrong call,

Replacing the shooters for guards, and the second shooter stack for an incorporeal unit worked well

Against undead or wizards with a lot of troops immune to poison I switch out the infiltrators for invaders.

https://www.lordswm.com/war.php?lt=-1&warid=954431830&html5=1

While I have only tried these with 1.5, I would expect them to work well enough at 1.

However with level 1's look for an opportunity to dominate the shooting, and consider putting all in on two shooters stacks, With at least one almost guaranteed to shoot before the other, and one that has no melee penalty.
Wish I wasnt an idiot that wasted my infiltrators :/
I've changed my build from tanky slow moving units like swords, ghould and earth elemental s, to "blue" units like infiltrators, vamps and poltergeist. So far the battles fell more enjoyable and I'm making money out of the 1 point fights :)
