Did they have pvp in Heroes 5? I don't know. That's where this ability shines most. Changing positioning of any target stack with your spearman is just overwhelming.

Yes.

So initially I felt it worth going for LeG9 quickly by doing 1.5 battles at a loss due to the relative proximity of the levels, 1% ini bonus and the benefit from it making LeG events more profitable.

Now that I have got there I wonder whether it is better to save gold by not rushing it, or else keep on going to try and get LeG 10 for the next event, which will likely be needed for completion of it.

As a comparison it will take me approx 50 days to get there if I do 1.5's only or about 75 days if I do level 1's. If the event comes and goes before 50 days it won;t make any difference, equally if it has come but not finished before 75 days then it won;t make any difference. As such, what is peoples opinion on the timing of the next LeG event?

Personally I think it likely to be around that sort of time frame and probably closer to the 75. PRobably another sort of event, then a tournament and then an LeG event

I'd always do the 1.5s tbh, never know when the next parameter point may be
for Lord MilesTeg:

1. If you don't mind losing the gold, go for 1.5
2. Like I play, generally on phone and while doing some other work, I put it on auto battle and finish the match for 1 LeG point. I'm satisfied with that. If you have patience for playing all the battles like you generally do, then definitely go for 1.5

It won't make a difference whether you level up much or not for the next event, because there will be another event and another event after that.

For me it does not make any difference,
as I'm happy with constant few points of 1 LeG points battles everyday.

The last two LeG events were about 60 days apart, if I'm not mistaken. I can't imagine it will occur more often than that. I hope it doesn't, because I'm a little sick of it already. What did we use to do before we had LeG?

I'm inclined to think you'll have plenty of time to level up with 1.0 challenges.
I think I will aim for 1.5's but allow myself the freedom of doing one lower if the 1.5 looks particularly irksome. Thanks for helping me clarify my thoughts.
Different players, different approaches :) I am doing 90% only 1p battles, the rest 1.2 (when I see the difficulty is similar). I am doing this Guild only to have gold profit, that's why I go for 1 point. I know that during events you can finish lvl 50 easier with higher LeG, but I got to LeG 7 even this way and I am not far from 8 and still I was able to do lvl 45+ in last event :)
After hitting 9 I went to a similar strategy, with my thought ssimpky being which of these 3 armies do i think I can construct something that will win with profit or a marginal cost. Sometimes that was the 1.5 sometimes the 1.

Essentially I will still do the same, but my default position will be 1.5 whereas earlier it was 1. At the end of the day the main variable is how much I value gold, and the main reason for me being frugal before was for castle buildings, and now I have all bar two of them, gold is a little less important to me.
Did they nerf goblin archers initiative from 11 to 10 or am I seeing things?
seeing things
Is it just me or is it insanely difficult cu make money even on 1 LG battles?
I'm LG 7, I'm making a little bit of profit on most battles, but others end up costing me like 400 gold, so in the even I break even...

Yes, you are right. Before I got trolls and liches, I had similar problem

I hate you so much right now! :)))
for SirM0rphius:
No need for that;) I only prove that the most important factor is your troops (not level) :) I would expect that after few years we could have troops, which could make even 1.5 point battles profitable in long run :)

The question is, how much harder will the fights get by the time you own most of the troops in the game?
And even more important, how will this affect the average players who can make 1-2 uncommon troops/day?

I was thinking exactly the same thing. I seem to be losing more money as LG 7 than a LG 6. It's good to know other people are in the same boat. It's as if they figure the two rare troops you get at LG 7 would make things easier. Well, the one I got suck.
Not seen this before I think, where the AI has an obviously better move, but doesn;t take it. This is at the end of the battle where it cannot win, I wonder if this affects the decision.

In almost the very end I move my trolls away to hit orcs, and as such give the cyclops an opportunity to shoot my ogres, instead he goes for melee and dies in retaliation despite no negative spell effects and enough shots.

Any idea why and how we could use this to predict AI behaviour?
