Is there any point in progress this guild to more than LeG 9?

I thought I'd try an LeG tournament after missing most of the past ones.
And what struck me was how at this point, this is mostly just gambling.
The weak players aren't playing the tournament anymore. Most players throw in some combination of rares and epics, with some venturing with uncommons. Unless you have troops that are "strong", most of it just reduces to sheer luck.
What's your enemy placement, who does the AI bias favor, etc.
I'll wait around for the CG version. Have they repeated the CG version after the first try? |

Yeah , I think it happens once every 2 weeks i.e The auto and cg one comes alternatively |

For some of course luck has a factor, though some people are very consistent at being lucky, and while good troops are a factor of course, I think it is not enough on its own. |

5k are also nothing in the long run, we won't take them with us anyway. :D
Have lost all the few past times, only thing is that I may have to think about my troops and not just randomly pick them with closed eyes. I will go with clothes colors next time. :D |

It's not really about the money.
My problem when it reduces to luck, is it is no longer fun, and not worth the trouble to set up 3 good sets of troops.
Money-wise, it's always a good deal, because empire chips in a large part of the rewards, apart from our entry fees |

If you can buy scrolls with diamonds then go for them, I got lucky with my first golden scroll and now I'm LG 8 with help of it. |
| Troops have very little to do with levelling LeG. Mostly about the determination to get to the top. |

when you are broke, having good troops can make a big difference. Not anyone can play every 1 point mission without losing gold.
You can buy all the DUs with determination too i.e. by enrolling all day for the whole year keeping minimal expenses but it is not something people do. Might seem like an extreme example, but you mentioned determination and it can go as far as you can imagine depending on the person. |
I lose gold on 1 point missions now, because I really don't care [I reached LeG 9 already].
But there was a time when I wanted LeG9 so bad, and I did only 1.5 battles, with say average 100? gold loss.
It takes will power to play every LeG battle seriously. But if you're willing to, you can have a different setup before every-match, to ensure you never lose gold. Each enemy setup has weaknesses that you can exploit, if you are willing to put in the effort. |
