AuthorLeader’s guild
for Murali:
the point is how their prices are balanced. it makes no sense.
Exactly.
They're balanced based on rarity, not on any meaning of "strength".
I presume more people still use skeletal legionnaires than they use guardians, hence they're priced higher.
This is not ideal, but also not wrong. Rare cards can do the job of common ones, for cheaper, as in any card system.
for cheaper

good joke
I thought the question was about choice in tournament or LeG fights.

The price of troops depended on respective creature abilities also how independent there are without hero's influence.
We are talking about a unit that has 5 times more HP and two times the damage output, same abilities minus the magic resist (but it has more HP anyway so doesn't matter) that is still 4 times cheaper than useless legionaires.

So ok, I understand how the pricing is done, it's just an exemple that the system does not work in providing a meaningful choice on which creatures to pick.

Some are completely overpriced, others are a bargain.
I agree. Some are complete overpriced.
In fact, I also wouldn't disagree that those constitute the vast majority.

But the ones that are a bargain are not a very small set.
In fact, from among the ones that are a bargain, you still have tons of different strategies that can be crafted. Which is why I'm okay with it.

same abilities minus the magic resist Doesn't invalidate your point, but when against a stack of liches, I *might* prefer the skeletal ones over guardians because they're undead.
for The One Ring:
Lich could just shoot down skel legs.
Then that'd do hafl the damage to your main troop, instead of full. And if you surround shooter with three skel legs, that's very reduced damage to main shooter. Anyway, not true that it's strictly worse. worse, sure, But it has it's uses.
for The One Ring: Shield Allies doesn't stack.
Using 3 stacks of skel legs? Not very practical in those leg tournaments.
for Loafoant:
He ment wasting 3 lich shoots to kill skel legs.
Standard leg grind battles is not what im discussing about.

lol, you can't be serious. Even at max leadership those 3 legionaires are worth 10% of your leadership, so you can almost kiss goodbye to your support just for plague shot immunity.

.
Pretty happy to have got 30ks worth of shrews in a recent battle. Whats others best drops?

Mine is 16 death envoys.
Bully by cheiftains doesn't increase defense of strongmen.
Neither does maggots. Though I guess that's because pyromancer is not physical damage.
Has someone tried other self-attacks to increase defense?
The petrified blood ability mentions "enemy attacks" giving +3 defense so I don't think any friendly stacks can trigger the effect. So magi, berserkers, bowmen, etc... none of them will work if you are commanding them.
for Dragon Eater:
Wasnt the case in past.
Are there any buffers who don't instantly get destroyed by enemy AI? Something that wont' cost me a fortune, basically.
leprachauns if you have them. Senior genies have high ini too so maybe can buff a bit before dying.
This topic is long since last update and considered obsolete for further discussions.
