Losing has nothing to do with score in this event.
There is no dynamic balancing. Enemies don't get weaker once you lose.
I know this because top-1 guy has 5 losses.

You suggest a trade-off between playing max-difficulty and losing. That's why I'm saying that you can keep playing max-difficulty and not lose.
Well that's what I was afraid of @ProZyk, seems like it's a fairly easy top placing but if and only if you choose the max difficulty each time. Looks like I'll have to keep this in mind for future events.

I don't see how this battle can be won by might. Those 212 rearguards are quite painful to deal with. Maybe it is better to be mage for a battle like this?

There's nothing easy about it if max difficulty gets out of hand, and is it probably eventually will.

You're doing the wrong spells. Those are neutral troops.
Why are u casting weakness? Only cast delay.
Weakness took like 12 mana.

Against neutral creatures only cast delay and curse (optional)

Take poltergeist instead of apparitions.

Mage build is terrible imo, but people do make it work.
I use budget stuff with might and still win everything. The only exception where I would consider using mage build is against heroes
Also why do u have 42 defense? U need put all points into attack
Do level 18 heroes have access to berserker spell? I see he used blind in that battle.

Guess I'm not whole-hearted might :-). Should change my shield to a dagger. I cast slow on rearguards in the 2nd turn. Maybe slowing it in the first round and putting all parameters into attack could have reduced them to a manageable number after the 1st round.

I do have access to both blind and berserker. My spell is not high enough for me to cast berserker on the main troops of enemy. And I regret to have used blind in that battle. It wasted quite some mana without slowing rearguards much. For a mage build, these two spells may work better.
Really need act like necro...fill your mana and spell power... Opposite my usual fighting style

Looks like berserker is a must-have, so magic build is surely the answer to dealing with high stacks.

I still disagree with magic build.
Sure, it works but battles take long, are boring and the arts are expensive.

Sure, it works but battles take long, are boring and the arts are expensive. Au contraire, mage arts are much cheaper at higher CL, since you can pick the 90/90 ones for very little markup over shop.
Demand is just terribly low for mage arts.
I'm now seeing a Level 8 hero for the hardest difficulty with 20ish attack and defense versus level 5-6 heroes for the other difficulty levels. So a much tougher battle for the competitive spot.

Anyone else seeing this? It's good news for making the top ranking a little more than a picking game of choosing the highest difficulty (but highest raised army) each time. I don't mind losing, it's the idea that a couple mistakes on the first day might be impossible to recover from for the event. Best of luck, hope these battles are a real challenge!

Well yes, every off meta art is cheaper at higher CL. Mage arts are definitely harder to get in the market atm. Can't even see a firebender mantle for sale.

What is the value for each unit of troop? I'd like to take enemy five with 1 vamp, but need max points so I need to know values.
1 skel = 1
1 zombie = 2
1 Poltergeist = 4
1 vamp = 10
