| Try something like this: split the pikemen into two (so the damage will be distributed to 3 troops rather than 2) and put bows (one group) and ladies around them at one corner, and they are your core army, cast mass envasion on them as soon as possible, and stay there to get all the buffs and wait for the enemy to come to you. The knights and angels are expandable if they can't move close to the pikemen quickly. |
| My slow army can't kill runners of the PC, ELF hero has strong spell to kill my army. By the way, can the spell to avoid air damage useful to cover lightening spell of ELF hero? maybe this is the key. |
If you spread your army so wide, it is hard for them to get the buffs together. And your troops are like paper against this elf without buffs (see how more than half of your troops are gone in the first round only). The elf is likely to lightning your bows. But you can use your angels and ladies to resurrect them.
This battle I lost my bows quickly due to the spell of 200+ mages. But the two resurrections from my ladies could make the bows kill enough mages to hold on. And having my main troops clustered together makes the buffs really efficient. Hope this helps.

| If you want easy sailing just use first 3 troops + spirits and max then out, split patreons in 4 stacks and chill at back. Dont push super hard to max side battle lvl every day, instead sit 6 lvls below that and just max out your army next day and repeat. After certain point tho makes sense to max out other troops aswell to maximise damage output. |

| The templar xbows are uber cool and deadly. Easily the MVP in the latter battles. I love them. Also Seraphs look good but seem to be massively overpriced for what they do. |
for bp99, thanks very much; there is one last battle hard for me, it is Bandits lair (31), in the begining, there are so many distant spell(fireball) damages, how do you go through it? Please also post the record if avaliable.

| Avoid it then. You don't need the extra silver from bandits lairs. Just fighting the regular battles should give you sufficient silver to hire all the troops. |
Just play bandits lair for some fun, little silver. Another problem is how to play with defence destruction fireball spells.
