A relative calmness reigned in the temporary imperial encampment on the other side of the portal. Abu-Bakir’s numerous aides displayed a quality quite unusual for them, passivity. Even the court magician himself simply wandered aimlessly around and silently observed his surroundings. He was certain that his research had reached a temporal dead end — and by setting off on this expedition, he hoped to find new sources of scientific inspiration. This had happened many times before, but for some reason not this time. Every now and then, he quizzically looked up at the gloomy skies but saw only the flickering outlines of innumerable arrows flying in the direction of the enemy. It seemed as if they were just about to split the shroud of clouds, revealing the rays of enlightenment, yet time was running out — and nothing was happening. It was time to go back. Once again raising his gaze at the swarm of arrows surging forward, Abu-Bakir was just about to humble himself and leave when the cry of a raven suddenly pierced the silence. Its grim silhouette flashed across the skies and vanished behind the crown of the nearest tree. Observing its flight path, the magician suddenly spotted a greenish luminance amidst the clouds. It resembled an indistinct runic symbol. And next to it loomed another one, of a different kind. And then — the first one again. They began to spread out in every direction, chaotically alternating and covering the entire sky. Their glow was enveloping the landscape of the battlefield bit by bit, approaching the positions of both armies. Instantly anxiety and panic seized the enemy ranks, forcing them into fleeing. And among the imperial positions reigned the mood of bewilderment. Overcome by his burning curiosity, for a little while longer Abu-Bakir continued to observe the mysterious phenomenon until the enigmatic light touched the fingertips of his raised hand. And then caution prevailed — and the court magician abruptly recoiled and vanished into thin air a second later, instantly returning to the portal in the center of the encampment. Ignoring the questions of the concerned warlord, the magician hastily grabbed the focusing crystal and severed the thread connecting the present and the past. The portal collapsed, bringing everyone back home. Abu-Bakir unclenched his palm and lowered his gaze to the crystal laying in his hand. It was as if a reflection of one of those runes flashed within it, yet it vanished immediately. The sense of anxiety began to subside, giving way to a strange fatigue, as if the magician's sorcerous powers were depleted by a prolonged battle. He hadn't fought anyone in the past few days, though. Perhaps the best solution now was to return to the laboratory to get some rest and thoroughly analyze what he had seen. Preferably as soon as possible, before the magician was overwhelmed with a storm of questions to which he had no answers yet.

Lord and Ladies! The life of the Portal of Time is over, and the scientific expedition has successfully returned home. Its sudden ending has left a number of questions that have yet to be answered. Warlord Grammith thanks everyone who responded to this call, and steadfastly ensured the safety of the expedition. For the hardiness and bravery shown, everyone who managed to collect at least 600 crystals will be awarded with a special unique artifact. Its durability depends on the number of crystals collected!

 
 


All Lords and Ladies who have won at least one battle are entitled to a gold reward for their contribution! The exact amount depends on your number of wins, your combat level and number of crystals of time collected. To claim your gold reward, make sure to visit Portal of Time page.



All Lords and Ladies who collected at least 500 crystals have been rewarded with 1 to 10 parts of Fear Robe. The parts number too depends on the number of crystals collected.



Special thanks are also given to the top 75 military clans — a well-deserved reward and the loyalty of new followers awaits all deserving ones who have brought at least 600 points to the clan:
