I suck so much as an elf. I have the same arts as I used as a DE, but the efk do funny damage..as well as unicorns..I was used to 800 damage by lizards with luck and 2x 300 with 2 packs of shrews without luck.

What am I missing? Full pack of efk deals 150 damage, sometimes 500-600 when favoured enemy + luck hits + blessed.

Yes low faction skill, but DE didnt suck so much, I started thieving with faction skill level 2 and did the TG level 2 in 8 days. Whats wrong? I have been elf level 7 and it seemed different(for hunts at least).
Now, I have made some changes, I feel much better with +4 luck but still low faction level elf feels a bit odd.
How could I win this fights, or is this just a kind of caravan i can't beat ? :

if u change faction u loose the bonus from faction lv??
i'm lv 6 elf and bored to death and annoyed that every time i die first because everyone attacks the elf first

Yes and no. You will always have your faction bonus but for that faction only. When you change to a new faction you wont have those bonuses again until you change back to your old one. You can, however, increase your skill in the new faction to get bonuses for that one.

And when you change faction, PvP is a bad idea until you have better faction skill.
hey i am a lvl 5 elf and i defeated a lvl 5 barbarian withour having full arts with just a Amulet of Luck and Reprisal Sword i think i really lucked.

what will happen if he attacked elvens at first turn and didn't put his wolves to death?
@628 u are only allowed to have 2 additional characters, just for your information...
628 what i would do is watch his battlea to see his tactics if he splits bows into 3 stacks or more then you should select bowmen as your favoured enemy and have the talent rain of arrows. then u kill lots of bowmen in 1 turn.

let his griffins get close and shoot them with elven bowmen this should deplete them a bit so u can atttack with forest keepers.

use druid ligtning to kill the remaining bowmen or griffins if there are any then move onto swordsmen. do not attack swordsmen with forest keepers they have high hp and will be hard to kill so run away for the time being with fks and let the swords get in range of ur bows. when they are in range shoot them to kill as many as possible. if u still have some druids left use them to take retal off swords so that fks can attack. at the end it will be the druids and the fks vs swords and maybe a few of his bowmen. the higher init means u should win. p.s. if it is a competition use as many arts as you can afford.

p.p.s if u watch his battles and see he doesnt split bows it will be significantly harder to win. pick luck as your talent and use druid ligtning to take them out so they arent too much of a threat.

How many sprites can one get at level 13?
Currently experimenting with a Magic Elf talent set. So far it is working nicely.

• Basic Nature

Summoning is one of a 10+ Elf's strongest assets. It would be wrong of me to leave it out.

• Basic Holy

Necessary for Dominion of Wrath. Also proves useful vs. Genies and Poisoners; as well as an emergency rapid.

• Dominion of Wrath

Mass Chastise and Rapid. Sometimes better if cast before summoning when going against fast creatures. It allows you to hit hard first, and only takes half a turn to cast so your hero can summon soon after. +6 attack can make a huge difference.

• Basic Erudition

Necessary for extra Knowledge and Spell Power. I use it anyways in other talent builds to get a third summon in; though in this case I use it for Spell Power. Chastise and Rapid are not worth casting if for only one turn.

• Basic Luck

Elves must have luck in their talent build. Without it they're near defenseless (because we all know, the greatest defense is a good offense ;p ).


Pros:

- Slow hunts give you plenty of time to break out the phantoms and to group for Mass Chastise. Large units don't entirely have to be in the area so don't worry about having to squeeze Unicorns and Treefolk in; although it's fairly useless on Treefolk.

- Large Creatures are easy to block; and in doing so your units are already grouped, allowing for good efficiency with a mass spell.

- Basic Holy magic makes Rapid slightly better than Wasp Swarm, even with Basic Nature. This is dependent on the speed of the creature, though. WS is better vs. slow units whereas Rapid is better vs. faster units. Massing it cheap (8 mana) and very effective in getting extra turns in.

- Even though solo hunts are more common after level 10, in group hunts mass Chastise and Rapid are great support spells for your ally.

Cons:

- This talent build requires you to drop 2 luck. Even though Chastise is far more reliable in dealing more damage; luck can make or break a game. There are many games where I know this talent build won for me, and there are other games where I know luck would have been better. It's certainly not a build for every battle.

- More often then not I get annoyed trying to get my cast order right. I would normally like to have GMB and EFK summoned before I mass Chastise or Rapid; but by the time two turns have passed, my units are either too spread out to make it as effective or I don't have a reason to cast either. Timing is important, and it's difficult to get down. And sometimes the timing is impossible to control.

- Putting points into Knowledge takes away from your base Attack. This comes with simply being a Mage Elf. I like to make up for this with arts, though others would disagree that my setup is useful. All I have to say is that when you run out of Mana, don't you just feel like more would be better? Ever catch yourself saying, "If only I had one more WS or Rapid :(!" Knowledge is a safe bet. Attack is good too, but can easily be gained with arts.
Can a single druid kill a single magi using a thunder and no wind protection thingy
o_o; yes. All you have to do is look at how much damage the lightning will deal and how much hp the magi have.

Some mini arts give +3 hp to magi, meaning a single druid can't kill one with a thunder. Otherwise, magi have 18 hp each, and a single dru will deal 20 dmg with lightning. Damage is not linear though...

Druids and Magis have Equal Initiative but ig u r talking abt speed druids are faster.But Wizards can use Mini-Arts which are completely Hidden till battle and thus, they can get better init.

Plus you can check before the battle starts what minis they have by going in their recent combat, but there is no way after the battle begins before setup finishes.
But bear in mind Elves gets +3% innate initiative, and only wizards with higher faction level can make better minis. Also remember faction bonus also affects initiative.
hi everyone,

i need advice on how to beat dark elf/wizard/barbarian/elf caravan (on lvl 7)
i really have my problems with those:
if i split up my bowmen, dark elf/wizard cast on my melee army and prevent my bowmen from shooting with gargoyles/kill them with shrews/rogues/liz cav
if i don't split up they just cast once and i lose about 12 bowmen (out of 15) and use their army to defeat my melee units

barbarian has (what i encountered so far) 5-10 cyclops plus a lot of orcs/orc chiefs. Both of them deal crucial damage either to my bowmen or to my melee troops (if i block them) so anyway my archer are half-way dead before shooting once and my melee army is also nearly dead

and against elf i have also huge problems because they tend to have more ini than me, more troops, same/better stats, more druids/anchorites to cast, efk and what else is needed to crush me without giving me the chance to even move. And besides they have 15% damage reduction while i have only 12% (because i have only 4 racial skill)

any advices?
