Hello!

News in hunt are terrible.

I went to my hunt (323 farmers) with arts. Could kill them easy. But an afker lvl3 elf came with his 90+ hobgoblins. Couldn't win alone. If i need hunt alone (fe: for record) don't need another player with his hunt enemies...
This is the most badly news in this game.
Many players end for this.
New: 40% good, 60% bad.
For CGS I will state, hopefully for the last time, what is fun about a game that rewards failure and success about equally? What is masochistic about playing a game where you win when you win and you lose when you lose?

I'm sure they could have found other ways to reward winning and penalize losing. If I had been admin, I probably would have chosen something different. However, it doesn't change the fact that something needed to be done, unless you're so vulnerable that that you need to be rewarded every time you lose a fight. I've got to say, I'm somewhat disappointed in some of the people who aren't even willing to give AP a try.

And finally yes, they could have simply made it so that main character would have no benefits if they didn't wear AP, or whatever. However....

1. This is a lot more clear, and
2. There would still be people who would insist on fighting naked and lose and lose and lose and lose and lose to gain points. And I am sick and tired of having those people as opponents and partners in group battles.

For me, people who eager to lose for race point are equal with athlete in real world who eager to lose for money.

I've newer met a single one of this phantomatic "loser loser loser" players. And the AP rule have nothing to do with them (if they exist).

A way to avoid those loser guys? Grow with level. Get a good clan. Let the looooooser lose their time. Or are you jealous?

I wonder if it will strenghten the type of players which I hate the most. The type of "I wont join you, you are a necro with arts and skeletons i might not win" and especially: Level 7 duelants with description: "Level 4-5 join a duel, I give 20 000 if you win"...and funny thing is that I have seen one such noob lose and never gave the 20 000 :-)

you are sick of having them? even if there are such players, wouldn't it be an advantage for you to win over them? you got lot exp and sp if they are your opponents. and if you dont want someone with no art, you can create a battle with tile "full arts", can't you? i join the "no arts" battle when i dont wanna use arts, and i join the "full arts" battle when i want to use arts.

and how does the AP rule related to this?

i believe that will be someone who eager to lose to anyone that will offer money if they want to intentionally lose. not someone who eager to lose for race points =)
even if they do lose for race point, they have the same long and boring time to wait. i dont think that would cause us any disadvantage. i would have done that too since racial skill is very important for my faction. too bad, i can't stand having a very long way juz to reach 1 level in racial.

Because it isn't fun. That's why I come here, to have fun.

As part of a tournament my Clan was having, I and a partner did ten 2 on 2 full arts battles against random opponents. By the tenth one, both my partner and I were sick of it. Spending half an hour slaughtering hapless people who seem more interested in dying quickly than putting up a good fight- why? So I get more imaginary points in an imaginary game? And heck, half the people on here were playing that experience points were *bad* things, and trying to get as few of them as possible.


Now, if you do that, you'll lose cash. And while your HP and Mana come back in a few minutes, the cash is gone forever. People who play with the 'avoid XP at all costs' strategy will end up a lot poorer than those of us who go on hunts and merc quests.
Guys, I think you misunderstood urgone. He was referring to those who want to increase their faction points only and, therefore, they put the combat description "I will lose for you. I need faction points". Well, he doesn't understand yet that those are actually cheaters trying to bait naive players. :)

And I think urgone tries to see only the good changes with the new rules. That amuses me a little bit (please, no offense, urgone).
Now that that you mentioned it, since it's no longer feasable to level camp by suiciding on hunts, the only option left will be to suicide on PvP battles. Not as effective as the old option but this seems to be the only option left for the more "hardcore" players out there who want to excel in even level duels. That in itself isn't bad but it kinda ruins it for the casual players who just want to get into a fun battle where everyone tries hard to win. This new update seem to have opened a new can of worms! I hope the admins have prepared things to alleviate this. Tournaments every month or so? I hope so...

I do MQ's. I have reputation 10 since a while. Still, I need to increase my faction level because the most dangerous thing in an Elf is the initiative and the faction level gives me that. The combat level gives me attack, defense spell power or knowledge. What use of them in pvp because my troops cannot be compared as quality with the barbarian or knight? So, having a good initiative, I can hit twice faster. But, I never lost a combat intentionally. For rising my faction level I do hunts where the combats experience - faction points ratio is the best for the faction points. If you cut my hunt, you can delete my character because it is useless. That's only a point. There are many other for which AP rule in this form is not good.
People who truly, deeply hate the new changes will leave quietly. They won't write dozens of posts on how the will leave because new rules are so terrible. They'll just go. And they won't be many. I fail to see a drastic drop of on-line number so far. We'll see if it changes much on December, 21.

As far as my understanding, if you don't like these changes, just quietly leave away; if you don't want to quit, don't post dozens of opposit posts here. I am just curious why open this thread.

that is good indeed, for some ppl...still i fail to see if there is any good for me (or other players) who is playing fairly. anyway, it will be way better for admin to separate the "full art" and "no art" battle instead of applying the AP rule. so you and your partner can have full-arted opponents when you want such battle, everybody is happy.

i mean, how can you (assume that you're admin) punish all players by forcing AP rules and cutting sp juz because of a few of faction skill maniacs (which you believe to be half of ppl on here). i believe it is not fair at all.

Then you're missing the point. People are free to express their opinion, to state what things they like and dislike. That post was directed to 'I'm going to leave because of this changes. You hear me? I said I'm going to leave!' kinds of players. Those who threaten to leave the game usually stay.

If I won I got lovely exp, gold and skill points, if I lost I only got skill points, the more I tried the more I got if I lost. Seemed totally fair to me.

However, NOW, I win I get exp, gold and skill points but if I lose I also get exp and skill points so you get rewarded more NOW for losing!!!

Plus, now we will have to buy arts to help people in assists and don't get paid gold whether we win OR lose.

I don't mind buying arts at all if I need them as I have plenty of gold for the difficult fights, so why waste them when you can fight certain battles perfectly well without them??

I don't choose which fight become available to me they are random and I generally try to fight the harder ones to increase my top hunting records but now I have to hope that I'm not joined by someone else as my arts are wasted then too as I'm not credited with the high score if I win.

I can't see how you say it was equal before for a loss and isn't now!!!

agree. arctic make this thread for us so that we can discuss opinions about the new changes. the ppl are gonna like or dislike it, thats what the admin want to see. thats why i believe that these 7 days is kinda probation time. i hope the admin is willing to reconsider the new implemented changes, considering a lot of ppl seems to not agree with that.

this server is almost exactly as the russian, but then only a few months later
(sorry for doubling the post)

Hunting assistance for an Elf it was the best thing for me to increase my faction level. Thus, I was rushing in every hunt assistance with or without arts without asking for any reward. Skill points were more than enough for me as reward. Now, I was hit twice with the new rules: once because I cannot assist anymore so much, and the second hit, I have no longer free skill points. And still, I do not complain about the second, I complain about AP rule which cuts out all my strategy as Elf.
And what's the problem with people wanting to get lots of skill points?

Why are they discriminated against???

I don't see anyone saying people who get lots of experience are playing unfairly?

One rule for one strategy and another rule for the other. All people are different so why dictate a certain feeling or strategy on everyone because you don't like to play the same way as others do. I thought this is what made us all human, the fact that we can pick our own way of doind things to our own liking.
was pretty suprise when i getted 234 exp from helping in hunt,well now i see reason well. in russia have already these ap rules and in russia losers have get more exp but still there is too little bit players to be nicer than in russia where you always get match if you want and i win always 2vs2 1of10 i lose. heh there is little bit better players or elf just sucks. stil really fantastic chances thank youuuuuuuuuuu.
