When I manage defense, at 1st round I always choose attack n saw the result. If my attack kill 2 enemy while enemy number is 30 absolutely I can't beat the enemy in 12 round, hence the best option is to defend till end of combat to avoid more civilian loss.
Otherwise if the number of enemy is 20, I choose attack untill combat end.

For me it was pretty much based on luck~
Attempts 4,5 and 6 (first 3 were interrupted by net-failure) i got attacked when the siege chance was 37% or 40% and when the chance is 75% and I'm ready with many soldiers behold "the night has passed peacefully"
The 7th attempt when i finally finished it, was lucky too, I got attacked only thrice and was fortunate to have "peaceful nights" on the last 3 days! |

Those are just numbers and not a real probability. The only numbers which matter are 0% and 100%. For the rest is just an indicator to show you how many days past since the last attack. The real attack probability and the tier beasts which will attack you depend on other factors (and I think the wizard gives a hint about that, so, you just need to read carefully). |
I hate it when they attack after day 2.
They come with 24 monsters.
Each round you kill 2 of them, but for some random reason 1 round you kill 0.
Then at the end of round 12 there are 2 of them left and the destroy the outpost >.>
2 of them destroy 5% while 50 of them would only destroy 10%.... |

and the destruction lvl depend on tier lvl of the enemy, not the number. So if its imposible to wipe them all, choose defense to minimize casualty. |

Still got a little question.
For some people it does say: Award: (gold) 700 or 1000
But for other people it doesnt say that, for example, compare those two.
