i am lvl 9 atm short before lvl 10..so if i start that tournament on lvl 9 and just play the tournament until i finish it..then play a hunt and lvl up to lvl 10 .. am i allowed to play the tournament again for lvl 10 ? |

My bet is Necros or Knights will rule the tourney. I'm realistic, and have played enough FFA to know that barbs have barely no chance, so I will use the tourney to raise demon fsp.

One problem... demons are HORRIBLE at blindfold battles (unless 1-1-1-1, then cerberi are pretty good)
In fact, demon and elf are the worst IMO, the best being knight, necro and wizard. DE and barbs fall somewhere in between. |
defensive build elves with trees are good, you could watch some battle reviews
of top 12-14 players. |

"# Blindfold tournament
Blindfold tournament uses blindfold battles as a template: 6 players, "every one for oneself" battle types, no chat, no character names or info.
Since 6 characters need to enlist in order to start a tournament combat, up to five last enlisted characters may be rejected. Those who enlisted earlier have better chances to get into battle.
Any given group of six participants can encounter in one combat only once. The first to leave the battlefield gets 0 points, the second - 1 point, and so forth with the winner being awarded 5 points.
Each character gains a new parameter for the duration of the tournament, which gives evidence of the player's tournament participation efficiency. This parameter is visible to every participant of any tournament combat. The formula for this parameter is
[efficiency] = [tournament points gained] / [number of tournament combats] / 5 * 100%.
If a player does not take offensive actions continuously, the troops begin to act independently. In order to reduce the probability of troops' waywardness or to regain control over independent ones, it is necessary to undertake military actions regarding an enemy."
Concerning the last line, will the troops start acting like in a drunken match? How offensive is enough offensive?!? Do we need to be offensive with every troop in our army, or even with a single stack its enough?

If I may base it on what happened in ru, 5 rounds of not doing any offensive action (attacking, casting at opponent, shooting) will result in you losing control of your troops. They will move to take offensive action on their own accord.
This has prevented (in the games I played on ru's blindfold tourny) Wizards from running around with their gargs and killing with only their heroes or people just pressing Wait or Defend, letting others kill for them.

1 player per level, regardless of faction. The highest scoring player (5 point for first place, 4 for second, etc) wins.
But what is the use of efficiency?

Experience and skil points are warded as follows. First one out gets 30% exp, 50% fsp; second - 40% exp, 65% fsp; third - 50% exp, 80% fsp; fourth - 60% exp, 120% fsp; fifth - 70% exp, 135% fsp; last man standing gets 100% exp and 150% fsp gained.

I know I read this somewhere but I couldn't remember where. And when I tried to find it in that official message I totally missed that paragraph.
Any way, now only remains to see how does this work in real combat. So far I like the fact that we get more fsp than exp. |
