NEVER ever bring zombies.
They're awesome units for necros with magic build.
Why? ---> Because they're durable. Magic DE usually focuses on Poisoners, Minotaurs, Ladons. Magic Wiz on Gargs... And Magic Demon on Incends, etc..
On lv8-9 you may find them better than ghosts. With massive HP, Inf. strike, Same damage overall, they may be better for non-Raising necro.
And even in single stacks, they're good units for defending your numerous shooters. If strong stack comes near --> Bang! Retaliation's gone and enemy has -4 atk/def. |
Will I need infected zombies at level 8 and why?(I think it is a waste of gold) |
They are not a waste of gold. Killing Merc Monsters are easy with infected zombies, combined with vamps and skeleton bows, you can destroy any merc monster at level 8. |

Killing Merc Monsters are easy with infected zombies; with them, necro is even better than wiz against monsters.
As might necro, they are sometimes better than ghosts; against heroes using destruction for ex; in such a case, having ghosts is almost as having nothing; I believe it's the same against elves with decent number of druids. In some hunts also I find them better than ghosts.
When you'll get apparitions, they will be less useful, but still can be good in some cases IMO. |
How does a necro beat a knight at level 7? |
al the same, i dont think IZ are worth the gold you spend... unless youre a millionaire......
might necro is 99% of the time better than magic necro, and magic necro is very very specialized to deal with specific types of opponents, and youll be hardly using it. and as i said, how many of the battles you do are monster quest? for me its very very rare, not worth it. im doing amaizingly well with might necro.... |

depends on your lvl and what kind of combat u are interested in.
Until lvl 8 raise build is very effective for all kinds of combats. At lvl 8 is a good opportunity to switch to might build with only few points in knowledge (maybe 2). |
as i said, how many of the battles you do are monster quest?
On last 3 pages of log, wich represents 120 fights, 15 are monsters (each are victorious); on those 3 pages, I got 54 victories, wich means I got more than 10% monster fights, and monsters are responsible of more than 25% of my victories XD |
How does a necro defeat a wizard at level 7?
I have fought 4 of them and I only won once (And that guy wasnt full arted (but he was not min arted also) and he wasnt equipped with mini arts) |
@Hewrin those questions of how to defeat an opponent at a specific lvl are hard to answer, as for instance I can't remember how i played at lvl 7. Better proide some battles and then we could look and give tips on how to improve your play. |
Hello, i just recently switched to necro from night.
i upgraded most buildings, including the skeletal bow one.
What are the best talents for level 6 necro?

I cant beat anyone at lvl 3 with necro..im not good at tactics or anything, but for example dark elfs are too strong, rogues and minotaurs just run over necros..any suggestions tho? |
All your stat points gained by leveling up (2) should have gone to knowledge to get extra raising. You may want to buy an oblivion pot to redistribute them. |

I would also suggest recruiting 5 skellies, and splitting them into one man stacks. Use them to shield your army, and to take away retaliation strikes before your ghosts/zombs get to hit. As a nice side bonus, when those skellies die, your zombs will get enraged granting them some free attack points. |
