- when new LG rule will be implemented TGI price will drop, because every gold piece will be more valuable
Bad news:
- it won't be easier to buy TGI :)

coolahed, I've never been interested in entering Thieves' Guild in the first place. I don't see the point of fighting insane caravan opponents and losing to them dozens of time in a row just to "bring them down" to manageable levels. For what? The thrill of the fight? Please! The thief art at each level, most of them being outperformed as soon as you reach level 9-10? The 1% extra init? This last one is grossly overestimated, just wait for new LG rules and you'll see how rare even full art battles will become, not that a measly free +3-4% ini is going to make much of a difference (just fill your empty slots with hunter arts and you reach the same result).
So, why did I become a thief? Because I wanted a TGI for my clan. Back then, TGI renting was the hot service everyone was after. That's how it all started. Hadn't it been for the free TGI, I'd never have reached TG 4. I just hate ambushes, it's so bland against caravans, and so random against players - and once in a while you meet some "thief hunter" thinking it's all too easy for thieves and taking pride in wiping the floor with your army, and then boasting about it... But I digress.
What puzzles me a lot more than TGI prices (which I see with a remote interest now that I have one last TGI to get rid of, but eventually it'll happen, then no one will claim that I hold this or that position because of my own personal gain) is the irrational expectations people have towards becoming thieves - up to paying million or more to get there.
Frankly, if I was in your position (being at low LG and no TGI) BUT knowing all I know, I'd just laugh at all people willing to buy a TGI and making sacrifices to this end. And I'd be all happier too not to have wasted 80ˆ here, by the way. ;)
This server must be really dead if all "new and exciting" things left to players is paying through the nose to ambush caravans. Come on, people. |
Really, this workaholic penalty is illusory.
To be absolutely fair: Ilusory until level 14 or changing of factions. Doesnt seem like much of an illusion to me now. Maybe its me but, well, my combat log tells the story.. |

Unless players do something special:
-not switch factions
-use more than min arts
-purposely keep some easy hunts/merc quests around
-still low level
etc.
there comes a point where a player might just find it difficult to continuously avoid workaholic penalty.

I believe this should be implemented, combats don't need to be won, if for example 2 consecutive combats are won then workaholic penalty doesn't kick in until after 20 enrolls, or introduce more hunt monsters / merc quests for higher CL / HG / MG.

Sorry, but in Rusia in the last update not even the LG benifits had been drastical changed - you will get half the money will doulbe the LG points, resulting in people getting a QUATOR of the gold they are now getting, they even change the workaholic rule:
You need to win a fight that gives you at least 0.5 faction points to lift it.
That means: No card game, no assisted hunt (for both parties), no duell, no fight with minimum arts will lift the penatly.
Things that might work well to lift it are: Blindfoe group battles and .... wait for it .... and .... THIEF BATTLES! |

I hate to burst your bubble. Since you are a new thief, you may not know this, but thief battles aren't that easy to win. If you look at Omega22's or mine combat logs, you can see our many many losses.
While it's true that over the long term thief battles would be better than hunt/merc, this still doesn't mean thief battles are easy. Also unlike the ru server ambushes don't happen instantly. Sometimes I need to wait up to 1.5 hours to get an ambush. |

For all people victim of TGI scammers (people telling they want to buy your TGI to enter thieves' guild, then just reselling it on the market or a TGI broker for profit) I suggest to demand for an extra 30%-50% on top of TGI price, refunded after the first ambush done by the buyer.
So, if the buyer was just getting more than one TGI at the same time or planned to resell it, he or she can kiss his profits goodbye. |

The price of TGI depend on demand and supply. Do you think the price will be lower or higher?
I have a TGI now but i still think it will be lower ^^.
U and latawica should have sold your TGI to me. U can see I always buy TGI with highest price and sell TGI with cheapest price on the market. |
