A formal complaint has been lodged and Acknowledged on the issue of Lord KD, and complaining about his actions further in the public forum will be nothing more than a personal attack.

Please friend , Its okay if you' do not appreciate him for his work but please dont degrade anybody like that . It seems that you all forgot he worked very actively when he was online .

It clealry shows lack of communication even between mods head and admins.. If there is such gap b/w them , then how the gap b/w normal player and admin can be filled?

in summary to respond on those questions and doubt:
- how is moderator recruitment work?
some moderators had answer that, so i just add on some missing parts.
indeed, for those who ask for election or vote for the mods or admins they want, it is impractical, totally.
dont lecture me about democracy and/or freedom. there is no democracy here, like it or not. as long as you dont break any game rules, you were free to do whatever you wish to; and thats the freedom you can have.
also, there were alot players register during recruitment. so, it wasnt surprise if you failed to get the position; there were better candidates out there, you just dont meet the requirement to fit it.
the choosing progress? sorry, it is P&C; you wont get the answer no matter how you flood in all channels.
- ban abuse?
hmm, it depend on how heavy a ban is.
in most cases, a short ban was given to notice the violator about the rules he broke; you receive a PM once banned. thats consider as warning.
why? simple, violator might go offline before a ban was issue; the PM will notice him what he had done.
longer ban can be issued when things go worse.
- moderator abuse power?
you can always report to the official clan recruiter; some mods had mention that.
you can report to administrators too.
- rule enforcement?
all mods had been lectured before they receive the hammer. of course, some mistake can happen. you were always welcome to report for any abuse.
new rules created from time to time to maintain the community. for example, the long string rules that someone mention in early post.
these rules werent exist back to old days. in fact, players suppose to have some COMMON SENSE not to flood long string.
do you know long string can ruin the screen view on smaller screen? especially on mobile device?
at the end, players argue on no such rules found in official rules. they flood, spam long string all the time they can. it was YOU GUYS push the limit to test how far you can go. hence, new rules come out for once and for all.
the only common sense in LWM: common sense wont work; only rules will work.
and, well, Wonderla should had been ban long ago for using masked characters, it had been stated clearly in rules: it was prohibited to use masked character ;)
- mods job role?
alot players misunderstood mods were god-liked with full access into server.
most of the tasks that players look for, admin was the one do the job. for example: bugs fixing, block/unblock id, kill cheaters, new update, news, event and etc. so, dont ask something cant be done.
mods were just players with little extra access to server, so dont be harsh on them. they grant the access of ban power and nothing else; for helping to maintain the community.
ah, yes, salary... someone yell on that. you were really in wrong place if you register to be mod just for salary.
the salary wasnt attractive enough to: work hard for the community; get blamed, provoked or criticized from players; yelling by boss and so on.

Well, in the end this is a forum for discussion. If the community felt the rangers guild (which I'm assuming you mean when you say rg) was poorly put together and a waste of time, and gave their opinions in a way that wasn't aggressive, it wouldn't be fair to disallow that.
The problem is probably more to do with that aspect of the game, and if the administrators realise players aren't using it they will be more likely to tweak its benefits. |

What the death of RG has anything to do with the cuerent subject? Anyway, I think RG isn't very attractive because it needs a mount (you will most probably have to buy one each week) and it takes the double of the time to level than TG, just take a look at the leveling table (https://www.lordswm.com/help.php?section=10). That's why many people didn't even bother to try. :) |

We don't make players write negative comments / we don't stop players countering with positive arguments.
I don't even agree with the original premise that rg is, or is not, dead. Plenty of people actively in this guild will be very surprised if told it is dead.
The content of the forums comes from players not mods. As long as it is within the rules you can express any opinion you wish. |
This "inactive" thing is simple:
1) Moderators have no control over salary. Admins pay it whenever they choose to. There is no general rule about how much they pay anymore, they just pay a sum and then don't have to deal with it again for a while.
2) Staff department characters do not have the ability to evict inactive players. Yes there are some inactive players in clans, no the administration have not listened to calls to give the staff department characters the power to evict their players.

There is no lack of communication - It is just that the communication is 1 sided. You are trying to ask how you get a response from a brick-wall. This has been an ongoing issue for 7 years, I do not think we will get the attention you desire now.
3) You have no idea whether a moderator has applied for leave. Each official section has its own private forum. Each forum has a "holidays/vactions and business trips" forums. If a player is inactive, they may have filled out that section.
4) Regarding gold paid to inactives, who cares!? When they return, they will be asked to leave because of their inactivity - Or to explain why they disappeared for that time (if they didn't write in the vacations topic).
5) Take a look at last 10 page of help forum at least...your people are not doing their job
I see a majority of topics answered. I answer a lot of them myself. If our job is to respond to and answer questions - Then I would say it is being done.
Now look at where this topic has gone. Firstly, players are complaining that moderators are too harsh - Now they are complaining about moderators that are inactive! How do we go from complaining about the actions of moderators to complaining about moderators who are having no impact on the game, they just cannot be removed from the clan because there is no eviction power? This thread has become nonsense. |
