| That is level up bonus...You will still get 1 stack of units at once but there are higher chances of attracting uncommon creatures after you reach level 2 ;) |

Seems no easily discernible pattern to me with what makes a rare versus uncommon.
Still no top tier troop found, or upgraded tier 6, so likely these will be the bulk of the epic category |

The pattern seems very consistent to me, at least for faction creatures. For neutral creatures, it does seem random. |

How about 250k, so that you can immediately exchange again to a higher tier?
