Basic Holy Magic give +3 min.damage to xbows, Advanced and Expert give +2 and +1. Think, do you really need to spend 7 perkpoints to have +1 min.damage?
my mistake, EACH level of Holy Magic give +1 to min.damage
7-8 damage is 12.5% less than 8-8, it's big differences, espcially when with full arts and xbow does more than 2k damages each shoot.

i still think level 8 is a little early to go for holy built. because you just don't have enough talent points for expert holy magic and rally (or luck or attack).
7-8 dmg (average 7,5) is 6,25% dmg less than 8-8.

dear, you need just 21 points to get expert holy. if you are planning to go with spell, it wasnt a nice excuse. lv8 is a good way to go, especially if you are interest on dark magic built.

in hunt, once you got xbow with expert bless, rally or luck doesnt matter anymore. you could just use some art to boost the luck to get some bonus dmg.

ofc, once you are lv10, you can get expert holy + rally, that's another story. and i assume you already MG lv2 while lv8. you can invest that bonus stats to Sp or Kn
Hi guys, I just levelled up to 10 and I was wondering what the best overall talent build is for this level. At level 9, I was using basic fortune, escort, and rally. Now, I'm using escort, rally, and vitality.

I know that various fights might call for different builds, but I just want some suggestions from some more experienced players.
How come a knight at my lv (lv 5) has a talent excort, white magic, black magic, higher luck..

The magic part is because of this:

You also need to put a skill point into knowledge to be able to use spells.

The luck part is because he was probably wearing an amulet of luck in that duel.

I just got to level 8, and I have aquite a range of choices for upgrades:

1) Crossbowmen tower
Allows to train bowmen into crossbowmen.
Required level: 8
Cost: 50,000 Wood: 30 Ore: 30 Mercury: 20 Sulfur: 20

2) Monastery
Monastery allows to recruit from 3 monks upward.
Required level: 8
Cost: 10,000 Mercury: 12 Sulfur: 12 Crystals: 12 Gems: 12

3) Magic Guild level 1 ( I didn't buy this at level 5)
Holy and Darkness Magic schools: Rapid, Delay, Bless, Curse.
Required level: 5
Cost: 5,000 + minerals

4) Magic Guild level 2
Holy and Darkness Magic schools: Dispersion, Stoneskin, Disruption ray, Poison.
Required level: 8
Cost: 5,000 + minerals

- In what order of importance should I get these, since I can't afford to get them all?
- At my level (8) and faction (5), how many Monks would I be getting?
- At my level (8) and faction (5), how many X-Bows would I be getting?

for Jedi-Knight: No 1 and 2 is A MUST .. :) for magic, better not .. :) I do not believe that magic can help knights .. :) Just add more defence . :)

Are you out of your mind!? Magic in small doses at the right time can mean the difference between a "W" and an "L". Rapid and Bless are spells that, if cast at the right time, can change the outcome of a battle. The best spell in Magic Guild level 2 is Disruption Ray, which lowers the enemy's defense, which can be crucual in a long fight. Can a knight win without any magic at all? Yes. However, can magic help a Knight win more games? OH YEA!!

get monk first, and get xbow as soon as possible, then magic guild level 1, and then level 2. i don't remember how many monks you get. if you really want to know, you could check my combat log when i'm level 8. i think you could get 80+ xbow without rally, and 90+ xbow with rally.

don't listen to a dark elf's advice on how knight fights. at level 8, i use 1 knowledge, and find bless and rapid quite useful.

it really depends on what battles you fight. you have to change talent combinations frequently. also, though i didn't try holy-built when i was level 10, I found it quite powerful in hunts and some mercenary missions now at level 11. you may want to try it out. xbow is evil, and xbow is the devil when blessed with expert holy magic.

You get 9 monks at level 8 and 10 at level 9. Crossbows are a must. Magic guild: level 1 is required before you build level 2 so you have do it in that order.

Thanks for the advice. So far, I'm liking the rally + vitality build (although I do miss having 2 luck from basic fortune and amulet of luck ;)
Hmmm.. so many stuff to do once you leveled up (I even fought a few battles without adding the bonus parameter point I got! haha..)

A Q - I have almost always used Escort, Basic Leadership (+1 morale very good for knights, yes?) and Rally. That took up 19 points.

Now that I have leveled up, and got that 5 extra talent points (making it 6 spare talent points in total), I discovered that I can't even add ANY talents to that combo !?

So any suggestion on how I should use my talent points? Total I have is 25.

I think escort and rally is very powerful, especially for thieving. If you want to try something new, you can go with rally and basic fortune for 24 points.

Hmmm.. since I'm thieving now, will probably take your advice and stick with what I have been using for the past level, and just let that 6 points sit there till i get to elvel 9. haha.. Thanks Javi
