nah, bless and rapid is good enough to help you in hunt; while stone skin still prove its good in PvP too.

i do have a combat log which fought against a higher combat level might knight with my magic built and less AP. the magic DO help me overcome some serious problem and kick that knight hard :D

and i must say it wasn't that much your magic that helped you overcome your enemy but more the fact that the enemy didn't recruit enough crossbows but instead went for griffins/cavalry (and some tactical issues at the final stage with his guardians). Still magic went very effective with your crossbows :)

not to argue on rules that AP rule set by host since we have no rules to counter such case. before this, you could found my another gb combat log which against him, he just use overpowered AP and join the fight.

i could use heaviest art i had in that fight to kick him if i feel want to. And, consider for a fair fight, i just use less AP in this gb (yes, it is gb initially but no one join in and end up with duel) as handicap on his faction level. i think that's a fair enough condition for him.

IF you do intend to start your TG, do it **NOW**. The higher you go, the harder (read: more impossible) it becomes.

You should be able to win 80-90% of your ambushes without using full or enchanted arts at your level. And I have a lvl 7 knight friend to prove it. :)

yes, i have started TG and been trying to lv up TG.
as i have learned, knight is really limited as far as TG is considered, a weak faction to master TG.
the caravans, no matter what factions, are worryingly powerful.
they have higher tier creatures, good stats, awesome spells and numerous troops.
not to mention the too large map for the remaining swordsmen to walk or flee.

the very tricky point is that, TG leveling means boosting of initiative but knight's slow initiative actually contradicts your effort in going TG.

Actually I've always thought the opposite. Because knights are already slow I thought that every tiny boost is needed. Also knights can get easier and are more morale oriented than other factions. Morale and initiative work together very well.

Also what I find great is that the bonus is permanent and free. Once you get the TG bonus, you don't need to do anything else to maintain them and you get to use that bonus in all your fights.
Knights have the 3rd fast creatures in this game, griffins, 15 ini, only
slower than hell horses and shrews, the same as efk.

But griffins have little tactical importance in knights' troop esp after
dive was nerfed. I think the core creatures for knights is still xbow and
guardians, with buff from knight's holy magic.

Initial is not so important for knights, morale and def and holy are more important. To do thieving is not for 1% ini, but the fsp and exp. However
I think knights are the worst suitable faction for thieving.

Couldnt agree more, but with Holy magic, we're almost invincible in most hunts and MGs. My combat log for the past week or two is the proof of this actually. Not bragging, just the sudden realization that magic was so useful compared to normal Att/Def stats.

I'm enjoying Holy Magic Knight for now, but will return to good ol' Might when the shorties aka Dwarves come. :)

You sure bro? I find most of my hunts easy pickings actually. Magic helps out ALOT. And I only do hunts in Min AP. if its Red, I need hunter assistance.
in many hunts what a DE or wizard can do with min arts we'd need full arts for, just look at the top hunters :(

knights are good hunters, and quite versatile.

They are very effective against high def large creatures.
They are good against shooters.

At least, knights are not worse hunter in general than barb and nec.
And in quite a lot of situations, better than demons and wiz.
Since AI is predictable, Holy knights have a huge advantage for HG and MG and sometimes TG since they could use the right magic at the right time.
I found I have a better winning ratio with magic building in ambushing.
And for pvp, the magic knight would buff a huge with mass holy magic,
only if they have right teammates, :)
yes against large creatures (and a well position rock ;)) we can do quite well, but large creatures only account for some 30% of hunts.

what about the rest of them though, against efks, and wolfhounds we get eaten alive. we have to rely heavily on luck and morale to beat anything above 10 initiative. It is very annoying when you come up against a red and you check the top hunters to see your red isn't even half of a wizards record.
on a seperate note anyone got a good setup for army of barbs 18?

Wizards aren't great against EFK and wolfhounds either... I'd say DE and demon are far better, even barbarian.
