I'm very very sorry you are not a lvl 9 because I cannot ambush you. I've got the solution for problems like you. Do you want a fight that last 4 houres? I'll give you just the same. So 8 houres of fight. Nice, don't you think?
Don't you like to be ambushed? Do you want to fight the thieves guild? Try to travel in a fullart set and fight for victory. Aren't you a mage? You have lot of chance to punish the thieves who dares to ambush you!

Sometime, when you'll get great miniarts, somewhere on lvl 10 I think, you will kill "innocent" heroes in unfair PvP battles. And what would you say when someone call you a cheater and start to skip moves? Yeah, only justification is "I bougt that advantage for 1,5kk miniarts price. Now I can rule, this is one of game features =D". But what a difference with thiefs, who spent much of money too for some "features"? |

Just have fun mate... after all this is a game, u are not loosin real money here.
If u do feel u spending ur time for being ambushed, why not try Merlin opinion.
And if u hate so much for thief, don't u ever get any TGI... Just for u to know, TG is increase ur INI... So like it or not someday ppl will do it.

And that's why you want ambushes to take 2 hours?
The only way to deter thieves is defeating them, this way they lose money and can't set an ambush for the next hour, so you rather travel with some arts and probably with other people to have a chance on a 2 vs 1.
Ambushes are a feature of this game and I doubt it will be tolerated if you and others overdo it.
I just travel with 1 unit. Its simple and doesnt offend anyone.
Except those who get stuck in an ambush with you. |
yo, urgone...try to be a thief, and then post some opinion here about ur opinion. i really want to hear you say that you enjoy that "4 hour fight of each thieving". nah, forget it, you're not a thief at all...you're a "good citizen" anyway.
to be honest, i prefer to meet any type of caravan and lose to it if i have to than to meet such a ridiculous human player eventhough if i am guaranteed to win it. Too bad...i can not choose. |
If you'd like to see urgone in action. You can see him fighting a thief now. From what I've been watching, he waits until there are 10 seconds left before he moves.
Oh yeah, he's fighting alongside another hero. So he's wasting 3 people's time (his, the thief, his fellow ambushee).
I hope we will see a new addition to the rules to curb this sort of behaviour. |
LOL- this is what I mean. I like the rules as they are, it's the thieves that are whining for them to be changed.
And my partner was the one who decided to delay. If he hadn't I wouldn't have. |

It would lend your complaints some credence if you could provide quotes of this so-called 'whinging' you speak of; I have read through this whole thread and can honestly say you seem to be the only person whinging.
Let's just hope you and I don't meet in an ambush, because I also will play you at your own game, and waste 8 hours of your precious time. I am in no rush in this game. |
danielns...If my choices are quitting the game or joining the thieves' guild, I'll do the former. I don't mind the rules staying the way they are, even if that gives the thieves the advantage in non-thieving scenarios.
And for the rest of you, it's very simple. You don't care that you inconvenience a vast majority of your victims, but if they inconvenience you, you want the rules changed. Those thieves who like the rules the way they are, I'm not talking about you, of course. And for those thieves who stick to the less trafficked areas so that they don't inconvenience people just going about their business, I salute you. |

You can go out, make friends, stay with your friends, stay with a girl/boy, do some stuff that i can't say there with her/him (I don't know your sexual preference - no offence at all, obviously)... I think everyone should just play this game as it was meant to be played.
Thieves should ambush.
Merchants should fight back.
The waiting thing is dumb.
Having 1 unit in your army is dumb.
These 2 methods should be considered infractions of the rule 3.16
3.16. Staged combats leading one of the parties to losing a priori will be punished for. A staged combat by definition is one where any one of the parties or party members intentionally loses to the other for any reason different from having technical problems with access to the game. Instigation to losing a combat is also forbidden. |

This is an online game pal. If you don't like to play with other palyers, buy Heroes V that is very similar and play it alone. There are not player that could ambush you overthere!!
When I set an ambush I don't "inconvenience" anyone! It's a way to have a fight and have some fun. Aren't you here on this game to play it? No? So go away and free us of your disturbing presence.
I had great battles ambushing (and being ambushed by) other players. Sometimes I won them, other times I was defeated.
But you are that kind of payer that is in love with his score, aren't you? This is the truth. You play only hunts and you don't like to face any real trial
because you fear the defeat. |

Just curious- are you pretending to be a sociopath? Because you do such a good job of it. Don't like that I can waste your time if you inconvenience me? Go play WoW. Go play Runescape. Go play dozens of other games designed around involuntary PVP.

I like this game. I like that I can PVP when I want and hunt when I want and quest when I want. I like that I can piss people off who insist on a PVP fight when I didn't ask for one. And I like that it's working, since otherwise this thread would have died a loooooooooooooooooooooooong time ago.
And case you haven't figured it out, no, there's no legal way to counter me. I'll play as long as I have available, and then I'll turn the computer off. If I have back lud for 2 hours, who cares? I'm not under a time limit to repay a debt. Eventually, if enough of us do this, you'll find it more economical to stay off the high traffic paths. Who knows, if we organize, we may even set up a 'thieving zone' where we agree to fight at full speed, and avoid if we don't want to risk being stolen from. Such things have occurred on other games.
So thank you, developers, for giving us this option. I'll be sure to use it. |
