If ambushing gets too hard to win, then it's worthless.
We could better save arts to do GB, which rewards much more exp and fsp.

for me this update make me poor cuz I cant enroll via mobile
1 new point to mention.
The 18x18 map makes creatures so small. It's really a challenge to someone
with poor eyesight :(.
I have been keeping missing to notice rangers hiding inside caravan armies.
18x18 maps is too difficult for me to ambush, hard to win, I prefer 12x12 maps.
Where is the best place to place an ambush ?
Is there any useful and special tips for a lvl 8 necro ?
Caravans are way to hard than PvP ambushes.
thieving is really hard now.
i was thieving with min AP, now i use full arts and it's harder than before.
new map is too big, i didn't found a good placement for my shrews (in a corner covered by 1 poisoners, they can't reach anything, elswhere oppents can reach them very fast)

and the worst thing: caravan's strenght grews too much

totally crushed with full arts, i will need to lose this caravan at least 10 times in a row before having a chance to win.

it will be really hard to reach TG4 before 1st december...
at the time the swordsmen reach the enemy I already lost lol.

Get max hydras instead of lizards. Hydra is best DE weapon.
Still this acravsn is too strong but some losses will help. Obviously rebalancing fractions changed acravan strength
finally get a win by ambushing an player. however, only 3000 exp and 0.68 fsp,
the TG is totally worthless now. Most of people just don't need to bother to pay so much for a TGI and spend so much for full art and get just 3-5% ini.
I will switch to MG quests soon.
66 read somewhere that thief caravan was fixed so it doesnt matter how much troops or hp u have. I guess u played as DE who always had lower number of enemies becoz of this i play as wiz and my number of opponnets got down a bit. So guess when i change faction now troop numbers wont change as b4.
@70: i already have max hydras.
i have max shrews, max lizards, max hydras, and removing units of one of these 3 stacks won't give me more for the 2 others (for exemple removing lizards would not give me more shrews or hydras)
the only troop modifacation i could do is removing shrews/hydras/lizards to add minos/poisoners, i don't think it would be a good idea ;)


the old system with 100% strenght for DE, 130% for demons, 180% for wizards...seemed a lot better than the new one.
DE were considered a "good" thieving faction only because of the smaller size of caravans.
but our troops are very fragile, if we can't reach and kill very fast the most dangerous units, we are dead in no time. if we had to face the same numbers than knights or wizards, we would probably have been one of the worst thieving faction.

thieving is nearly impossible for DE now:
1:according to message 72, we seem to have the same numbers than other factions
2:map is too big, our shrews are useless:
-we can't protect them in a corner anymore, or they won't be able to reach anything
-if we want to reach oppents in the 1st turn, we can't protect shrews, and they are reached by fast melee units (rocs, griffins...) and killed in no time
-if we have the luck to meet caravans witouht fast melee units, we are killed by the shooters (poisoners can't reach shooters on 1st turn to block them because of the size of the map)

in nearly every ambushes, our shrews dies in no time, and then our other units can't do anything against the huge numbers of caravans.

i used full arts, and i was totally crushed.
and i used the old talents, with 7 points cost for offense talents.
now talents have been reset, i took basic fortune instead of advanced offense+cold blade. i'm weaker than before and i would be even more crushed if i had to replay this fight.

i think it's time to switch faction for thieving.
knights with crossbow or necromancers with skeletal bowmens seems to be a good choice.

i used to have the same problem too (although my eyesight is pretty good)
solution: Ctrl+Click on each enemy unit once before the battle starts. Therefore you can read what unit it is, especially HOW MUCH they are and simply keep it in mind
There, that solved the wizard's 'oh no, we can upgrade our units for free now' complaints
:) Probably, I'm now heading in an ambush to test it :D
I just reached level 8 and was going to continue as a de for thieving but before I spend all my money on new units that might be useless, should I change faction or not?
Ran into 60 chieves and riders which was impossible to kill :(
