It depends, just like Erebes said.
If you do ambushes in low AP, you get a good fsp/exp ratio. If you use lots of good arts, you get lots of exp. In fact many of my caravans give capped exp now (500 * combat level, 6000 in my case).
If you want to level up quickly, I suggest doing the following: do only ambushes until you lose one, so you have to wait for an hour to set a new ambush. While on a winning streak of ambushes, just pass by and decline impossible hunts and merc quests until you get something managable. After the lost ambush, do the hunt and then the merc quest. When done, start over by setting up an ambush.
A word of WARNING: the artifact costs of the above described strategy can easiliy make anyone bankrupt. Happened to me: in just 2-3 weeks, I went down from 400k+ to 0 gold at level 9-10. |

So please describe, how does the ambushing work, do u get an ambush like you get hunts?
I was ambushed once, all though I almost won, think he had 2 forest keepers or so when my last minotaur died, and since I thought it was an impossible merc quest that I had taken by misstake I didnt split my shrews or anything :P
But, here's my issue, it costs 80ˆ for 80 diamonds = TGI.
I wanna play this game for the PVP part, I wanna pvp as much as possible but noone ever accepts duels....
So, should I and if so, please explain how it works with caravans and what not |

Of course there is. It is believed that only players with +/- 1 your level can trigger a caravan ambush for you. While you'll catch the players if their level is the same as yours. For higher level, it is believed to be a bit different. +/-1 level rule does not apply. |

So far my record sucks... I just got hardly beaten by Necro caravan.
A Knight (player) kicked my ass as well, and the other player I've ambushed was a wizard, that died pretty hard.
As of caravans, I think I've met like 5-6, with a win ratio of tops 50%, elves are easy, knight was possible to beat, darkelf defeat (1 hydra left), necro totally owned me...

The experience gets much higher as your caravans get harder. Also full art human players gives you twice the experience. |

And seeing a 50% win ratio on them caravans at the moment it's not really good for me

use a normal level 6 full art set and it will be more then enough to bash your enemies.
Best combination for level 6:
The set-
-Equilibrium blade
-Defender sheild
-Amulet of luck
-Haubark
-Chain helmet
-Shoes of aspiration
-Cape of winds
-2xRing of abdication
Talent as a:
-Dark elf : Basic offense + battle fury
-Elf : advanced fortune |

Erebes, that's kindof what I use. Except for using rings of inspiration and no shoes... cant afford that atm.
And I found out that using basic fortune, even though I only get basic, seems to work better than anything else.. but Idk, maybe Im wrong..
