for Dan-Panic:
The moderator situation at the moment concerns the moderators early. I hereby politely ask you to stop this 'logical decision making'. |
[Post deleted by moderator Barbarian-Fishy // I posted something similar to dartagnan, but hi spost was first, and obviously more important also.] |
early
only. |
what happen i thought it was rude but too many players cant have that power but o the other hand the mods should know why they are evicted |

How can moderators' situation concern ONLY mods? Dont we humble players have any rights to know? Are we doomed "to play in the dark" and just be thankful to contribute keeping this community alive?
Obviously it largely affects all players. Do i need to list? How cheaters can or cannot run free, players can or cannot express themselves and/or respect rules, way in which they can use chat rooms, way in which they are welcomed to the game and so on... And obviously it has a lot to do with "power".
You can find just a minimal example a couple of posts above:
- pls, look at 82: "magical" delete button + its flooding explanation + its embedded homage to "higher" power defined as more important and compare it with two smilies in a row in chat and the almost immediate following ban you will get. :)
And even if I risk a ban being here a "third part", I still politely ask to know what was wrong with old mods. In my experience, most old evicted ones have been helpful and supportive. The evicted ones never answered "dont be so lazy", "use your ban to read the rules", "it's not my concern", etc. etc. |
#81:
The moderator situation at the moment concerns the moderators only.
I should think the moderator situation concerns every player especially since there is a recruitment drive that is open to every player going on.
Unless it is a recruitment of "moderators" within moderators, would it concern moderators only.
I would like to question the need for this second recruitment drive in such short succession.
As taken from Empire's post #82 in "Moderator Posts: Available!",
https://www.lordswm.com/forum_messages.php?tid=1881053&page=4#401576
After an additional inspection we have slightly diminished the staff of the official clans. However, most of the profiles stayed in "reserves". It is not excluded that we will invite these people back.
Was there any attempt to reinstate most of the profiles that stayed in "reserves"?
If so, I would like to see some evidence of it.
I understand that the forum thread "Moderator Posts Avaialble"
is an open invitation for players to apply for the posts, and thus function more as an announcement than a discussion.
However, I find that there should be some room for explanations when certain actions do not coincide with Empire's official position regarding the reserve moderators which Dan-Panic pointed out in post #2.
That thread may not be the place to discuss such actions, as Queen_Amanda pointed out in post #15, but I would love to see the rationale behind such actions as I am sure we would not want a repeat of incidents which cause the need for the "Discussion Polygon" thread
(https://www.lordswm.com/forum_messages.php?tid=1877993)
where Artic mentioned in post #1
Multiple cases of Moderators abusing their powers brought to my attention and slight lack of free time caused me to create this thread.
If such actions are not explained to all in a fair manner, I would have to politely disagree with Queen_Amanda's position in post #696 of the said "Discussion Polygon" thread.
No explanation needed if he wants he can do it by mail. This thread has lost its usefulness
As I feel that it is just closing one avenue of redress when there is perhaps just as much use of that thread as before. |
@85 My deleted post was written before I'd seen dArtagnan's post. I was responding to Dan-Panic's post. When I hit post, I then noticed Dartagnan had done his. His post said what was needed so mine was unnecessary. It was no flood. He is an admin, I'm a mod. His word carries more weight. |
He is an admin, I'm a mod
Please get your facts right , he is a helper not an admin . |
@Erebes. He is not a developer, but he is more than a mod. I would probably use the word admin. This is a case of semantics more than anything else. |
Some Good News,
An act done with sense of humour, I like it.
Here's Cepryuc's transfer logs
https://www.lordswm.com/pl_transfers.php?id=4301858
06-07-10 16:38: Transferred 200000 Gold to Empire : Government taxes
06-02-10 15:20: Received 200000 Gold from Empire : #10 - salary, May
I like it very much, its a good example that should be followed by our finest.
Congratulations Cepryuc for that move, good initiative there, it honors you and I mean it. |
i 100% agree :) |
more mods have done it in the past, its just that admins dont look at activity and just give everyone the full wage, even if they didnt do anything at all. |
@92
I really dont think you should downplay this action by cep. it says alot about him and his character. here we have someone actually doing the work they have been assigned (unlike some others in current clans) and he decided it'd show a better example to forego it.
a little more congratulations and a little less 'shrugging of the shoulders' me thinks. |

Sorry if this is flooding too, but I need to thank you for your kind and repeated explanation. Otherwise reasons of your deleted post wouldn't have been clear enough already.
And thanks also for explaining your opinions about pyramids of necessary and unnecessary, and about words carrying more or less weight. |
[Post deleted by moderator Barbarian-Fishy // 5.1 Then contact Lexa or Queen_Amanda or the secretary. This thread is not a place tfor this discuss] |
There must be some character wrap limit with deleting post messages. Apologies as it means the above makes no sense. So what I meant to say.
@95. Take you complaint to Lexa, Queen_Amanda or the secretary. This thread is not a place for these discussions. Especially trying to name and shame a person. For this thread 5.1 is in place and 4.6. |
for Barbarian-Fishy:
Trying to protect a fellow LoS member who is as guilty of having a shady past as me by deleting my post. You know, this has been read already by a lot of person. If no one act on it, we all know that this is just going to get more and more people seeing how biased you guys are :) Anyways, I will send a complain to Lexa, Queen_Amanda and the secretary, dont you worry :) |
for Barbarian-Fishy:
When complaints were being made about older mods then i didnt see any such laws ? I thought players had right to express what they feel , as long as it is not vulgar and insulting .
shame a person
Bah ! Shame and cheating are two different things . |
i think people should openly talk about how the game systems going and suggest that it helps the masses and not the few so more are willing to play longer and that might end up in more donations so we all can have fun together wich should be the primary goal in this game |
@98
I thought players had right to express what they feel , as long as it is not vulgar and insulting .
That exception was only for this thread --> https://www.lordswm.com/forum_messages.php?tid=1877993 |
