| For others who may be confused by my remark - Look whether he believes Brazil could be number 1 or number 5 or 100, that's his own idea. Why is it retarded? Both mentioned countries are far superior than Portugal or Spain.
Also Britain almost conquered the world. Portugal almost ceased to exist. Spain spent more time doing internal conflicts that they kinda forgot about the game of getting bigger and stronger as a nation.
The only useful thing Portugal did was to keep Brazil as an empire size, although at its time, dom Pedro, did everything on his power to screw that up, our own national leadership of government made it possible. Then In dom Pedro II, while he was astonishingly modern and futuristic, he allowed Isabel to piss off all entrepreneurs leadership, and raise of enemy faction to start a bloody civil war, which it did cost his crown and ever since we lost our monarchy.
Spain was so busy screwing everything up, that they made an absolutely mess on everything they touched, still being the least developed countries till this day.
Culture is nothing more than guideline conduct. Initially people will do what they’re told to, doesn’t matter how much they dislike. Then said culture will pass tithe next generation with individual tweaks, until eventually said independent country can form its own identity.
The motherhood of exposure will always be the main guideline.

On that culture note, our grandfather teachings, was to be lazy, less productive, friendly and forgiving, between others qualities passed on. Basically the foundation, of identity, which is what make us so weak.

I mean, imagine the scenery “your royal majesty, we discovered new lands way beyond the sea where no eyes can see at distance. The local natives are brute primitive barbarian that walk with their shame exposed. The land is rich, we discovered exotic animals, new medicine, expensive types of wood, silver and gold, between many more riches”
The king reply “Brilliant, we need to ship our own resources to form a colony, give everything we have away”

true but also the models did not really depend upon the colonizing country but on the local circumstance so its inaccurate to say that some countries were better at colony handling. |

Its getting better in India, here in our part of the country at least (Rajasthan), last 3-5 days the OPDs seem to be lesser comparatively and beds seem to be available relatively more feasibly, having holding beds removed from our hospitals corridors was a milestone of sorts when at a point a few weeks back it looked like this would never end.
