bowmen can be good as it will attract those creature attack it. some decoy bowmen can be useful to encounter ghost to take out the incop. bowmen has better ini to take retal for swordsmen and griffin too.

as for recruit, since it is the lowest priority on creature attack list. it will survive until very late; with offense talent, it can show some useful. BUT, dont forget its low ini cant help you much on take retal.
so means i should recruit recruits or bows....please dont confuse me
what he is saying is that it is different in different situations, you should know the different advantages and disadvantages and choose accordingly.

in general, bows are better than recruits (otherwise you have no shooters, not good), but in survival recruits may be better (they are not limited by the number of shots). also, you can take 4 bows, split them and use them to take out retals, and draw away the fire from the neutrals.

buddy, try to learn to think and make your own decision. it is your troops, your artifacts, your talent setup and your battle.

i dont think anyone love to be blamed once you follow the advice and lose your battle later on. i would say, we prefer to give some reference and guideline rather than teach you how to win.

after all, you should know the different advantages and disadvantages and choose accordingly.

every ST can come with different waves. such as: if you face more unlimited retal wave, you should think more on bowmen; if you have some large shield, you can think on recruit.

hence, you have to balance yourself.

what should be my recruiting against demons swords more or xbows
with you talent setup, perhaps swords would be better.
xbows deal more dmg, but without holy talents their dmg output is very unstable -_-

well, as a demon, i would say i prefer my knight enemy have more swordmen rather than xbowman ;p swordmen are really slow, and usually theyre the last unit standing. the remaining demon army (probably some still alive, due to the small number of xbow in ur army ;p) can do hit n run tactic on that poor swordie.

well, just try both setup if you want to know for sure, this is just my hypothesis ^^
I was considering turning my level 8 knight in to a holy knight. I was thinking 3 spell power and 3 knowledge and the rest in defence. With basic and advanced holy magic then something else which I'll test out later. Do you think I will have enough spell power and knowledge or should I go for a bit more?

Luck. You want to kill the unit with no retal.
QIOFLASH : Max ur swordsmen first, then max ur bowmen .. swordsmen will stay longer at the battlefield .. and prepare to focus on defence .. knights will stay longer with greater defence not attack

wrong, in ST, the faster you chop, the more you can survive.

hence, offense and morale talent are always better than defense and other magic talent.

What are the best talents and tropps for knight lvl 12. Mainy doing MQ and caravans but only to get some fsp.

What kind of build are you? Might, mage, or a hybrid?

I personally use Mass Holy Magic - works well for most battles except Survivor tourney.

Since you're Might build now, Fervor is my pick. Or you might wanna try Offense or Defense talents. Its quite flexible really.

If you're thinking of trying something different, then you can always PM me on anything to do with Mass Holy Knight. :)

you are might built. morale, offense and defense talent are more recommended.

morale talent grant you some chance to do extra move; offense talent increase your dmg output. both of them help you to chop other faster.

defense talent will slow down dying speed to buy you more time :)
