Does the spell Confusion work? I have never seen it doing anything, never ever. |

Confusion: 55% less ranged damage, so great against shooters
55% less damage when the enemy retaliates
(% are for genies) |
I know the spell description. But I have never seen that it works. |
It works. It is the best spell to cast on shooters but doesnt work on undead as far as I know. |
Ok I'll trust that you are correct. I'll have a VERY close look on it next times. |
Shagan, plz take the "look" at the right place... ranged dmg and retals:) And tell as which combats that are, as you can´t cast this spells yourself. |
Should i have 3 knowledge 6 spell power at level 5 or 4 knowledge 5 spell power? |
For Moonhunter.
I guess you are asking for your multi.
I dont think it really matters which one you choose although the first option will allow you to do more initial damage and is a better choice for PvP and hunts against high initiative/speed creatures.
Personally I had the second option at that level.
I think you may be able to choose either option when you reset your talent wheel ( or maybe thats at level 6)..... |
What talent should i use at level 6 wiz and at level 5?
Mini arts?
Are these mini arts good at level 5?
Magi:Ini+morale
Gargoyle:Def+HP
Golem:def+attack
grem engineers:anything since i wont use them alot. |
Those mini art choices are fine.
Erudition tree is best for talents at that level. |
Basic erudition for level 5, Socery + Mana recovery for level 6 |
I switched to min. arts ambushes with my wiz in preparation for a faction change. I havent really done any thieving since lvl 9 I think...
I have now lost 18 ambushes in a row to dark elves and the only caravan I can defeat is Necros.
Must it be this painful..... |
Now 20 in a row to dark elves and still getting smashed.....:( |
I am doing caravan too and almost all lost. I won only again one knigh caravan with monks. But nevermind, still aroud 0,2 and more sp with 12 ap, what is not bad and when a lower caravan difficulty enough, i will start using full arts (or almost full). Dark elves are no so bad for wizard, worse are wizard caravan and barbarian, really no chance. |

375: Jabbar i know this. I did ambushes as barbar at lvl 8-10 and at lvl 10 i had about 95% win ambushes in full arts (my TG is not so high). At lvl 11 i started doing TG with wizard. Yes, my plan is lower their dificulty and maybe in future win "little" more than now :). I think, that is still a lot of lost caravans for me, until i will start win. But nevermind, currently with 12 ap i usually get 0,2+ sp and i am doing TG only for "relax" and if dont have hunt or mercenary quest.
But i think, that wizard is not good faction, if someone wants to do serious thieving. Its like pvp fights against opponents with much more hit points and the same or better damage done :). |

That's true - but for the same reason i think wizard is one the best factions to use to lower caravan difficulty - since with most other factions you can increase fsp rapidly via thieving afterwards. |
Seriously caravans have high hp , but have you considered trying them with anything but a magic wiz ? i went might wiz and it is a pro in those ambushes . with dominion of temptest , we get stunning blow like a barb . and garg are the last one standing with rage = hell for enemy . a single good magis throughshot with luck clears half the caravan hp away . |

I think that caravan difficulty wouldn't change when you change factions after the grand update. Do you mean it'll change actually? |

This is very complex question :-)
The problem is we cannot measure caravan difficulty in absolute numbers because the weight every unit contributes to the stack is not known to us. One caravan for example may have griffins or cavarly in one spot and it's the same caravan. Or caravan can have many skeleteons in middle x 4 and few zombies around or less skeletons in middle + more zombies around and be the same caravan ( also upg. skeletons/zombies make it even more complex ).
In general the difficulty should not change after grand update when switching factions ( cant be 100% sure though ) however it is more or less certain that when you lose caravans as any faction the difficulty decreases for all factions you might change to afterward, and similar thing happens when you win.
So what i mean is that losing as wizard will lower the difficulty of your caravans in general and then when you switch to a faction more adept at killing them - the RELATIVE difficulty will instantly decrease ( because your power against them will increase ). |
