I just fought a Dark Demon and I was so pwned by him.
I did very big mistakes because I didn't know what he can do (like I didn't kill his upgraded imps because I thought they will steal mana only once and then attack me, but insted they took me mana every turn so I got nothing left), but still that mind control is so OP..
Perhaps I should have killed his spawns first, then temptresses and then anything else?
How do you do against DDs?
Well, against Dark demon, vermins must be killed in first turn. I'd focus genies magic in fiends or hell horses, as they will be the ones killing your army. Cave demons should be the last for you to use lighting. They are too slow to be the 1st target.

I'd recommend to kill the dd demons troops in this order: vermins -> fiends -> horses -> succubi's altgrade -> cave demons.

Seduction does work only 1 time per battle. And, succubi can't control your gargs and golems, and their damage is lower than the fiends/horses.

So, I think it is better to eliminate them before succubis =)

I thought lorekeeps had dispersion? You can make seduction go away with it..

I have magi now (not lorekeepers, as they are just for DU at this level), and I usually don't take a lot with me because they are not so good at this level on magic build, so he can take them out easily (I fight with 3 now - piece of cake to take them out with a few shots). I could recruit more of them if I'd know I'm dueling a DD, but otherwise I think my current build is better than one with many magis.
What talents should I have for ambush, at level 7?

I'm intellect + erudition, instead of mana recovery + sorcery. The first one give me +20 mana and +1 sp, and the second option gives me 10% faster hero + "unlimited" mana. Which seems better?
I lvl up now, any recommendation for lvl 10? Might vs magic buid? Talents? Eq? Strategies for pvp?
I think lvl 12 is a turning point when might starts overtaking magic. Until then you don't have enough talents for solid holy, and magi's are really lagging behind. Lores will make a big difference.
Full ap battles (or min ap hunts/mg) - Magic build
Min ap (pvp/gbs) - might build.

Talents (magic build): Advanced sorcery + advanced chaos magic (you can have basic socery + mana recovery, if you prefer)

Talents (might build): Expert nature magic + basic erudition (you will need 4-5 kn, and no fsp at all) or Expert erudition + magical mirror (this is totally might build)

PvP:

If you go as a magic wizard, use max gargs + max golems + 10 genies (split 2 stack of 5) + rest in magi (that was my build, but the recruitment may have changed, so you will need to find a better option). Put modern golem in 1 corn and gargs in another. 1 stack of genies should protect the golems and the other should do the same for gargs. Magi should be in front of golem/gargs, to make a complete wall. I'd give you the link with this settle, but, it isn't working :/

If you go as might, use max genies + max gargs + max magis + max greems (retal takers). I'd suggest to not take modern golems, they are too slow. Don't split genies in this case. If you have choosen nature talents, you have phantoms and wasps to help you (very useful for min ap battles). Might is a bit more complicated to play as a wizard, but if you find the right combination, you can rock in pvp =)

Depends what you want it for.

If you want PvP, wizard usually needs many items to be competitive, otherwise he's not too good at PvP.

If you want hunts, I think 4 knowledge is enough for your level and the rest you should put in spell power - however, it depends on the creatures you hunt.

As for talents I would go with basic erudition, and put your extra point in spell power, because it will give you as much damage as Basic Chaos on magic arrow, but it will also improve your magic punch, which Basic Chaos doesn't.

There you can see the lack of power in Wiz ;) It is very challenging to play this faction because it seems very weak in most circumstances xD
