Wrong side of the aisle, son and you know it. That sort of thing is a trick of the socialist/communist government that your side has a sick romantic view of. See, someone once called the tools he used, "useful idiots," and it is evident that there still is no shortage of these indoctrinated puppets today.
My side? We would throw out all those who suck off their capitalist systems, yet find a way to demonize them like the spoiled children they really are. Let them find out what it is really like to live in those demented and failed "Utopias" that always ends up controlling every aspect of the populace's lives, taking dissenters away in the middle of the night.

It is fun. I just wanted to show that it's all about the freedom as long as you agree with him. i think I have achieved that. Often the fiercest patriot, defender of freedom, can become the worst dictator when given power.
A modern example is Zimbabwe and Mugabe.
A historical example. American Civil War. The South had many of the same complaints about how the north was treating them, as the American had about England in the war of independence. The only difference I can see is that in the Civil War, the existing authority won, while the war of independece the rebels won.
The old adage, the winner writes history, colours strongly how those events are viewed.

I don't want a socialist government. I just want to stop the government doing wealth redistribution from the middle class to the rich. When the GFC happened, the short term pain would have been horrendous, but for the long term it would have been much better letter the banks burn. Putting the CEOs and directors in jail for fraud, the whol deal.
The long term cost of the bail out, is corporations know they can do incredibly high risk, high profit endeavours, because if it goes bust, the taxpayers bails them out.

@moro88. I think Modi can stick up for himself. Some of what Modi has written is quite funny. Some of the stuff he's written, well lets say it brings out in me the desire to make some commentary.
In regard to the ban. I think that was more just a warning ban from the small time frame. We all now know politics is to be avoided on this thread. |
